query_wiki

query_wiki is a command for Claude Code from songzhuozhu/obsidian-llm-wiki. It costs 32 tokens per session (299 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command for answering questions from an existing local wiki rather than assembling a one-off answer from raw notes or external web pages. It uses the wiki’s instructions, index, and relevant source pages.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to locate relevant wiki pages, combine their information into an answer, cite local source sections, and identify when a durable conclusion may belong in a synthesis page.
Why use it?
It keeps answers grounded in the knowledge already maintained in the wiki and helps separate established facts from conclusions that still need confirmation.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00032 $0.00299
Opus 5 $0.00016 $0.00150
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00060
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00030

Security

Grade A, and why

query_wiki scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Command: query_wiki

You are the knowledge-maintenance agent for inspool-wiki-en/. Follow inspool-wiki-en/AGENTS.md strictly.

Task for this run: answer from the existing wiki instead of bypassing it and creating a one-off summary from raw material.

Execute in this order:

  1. Read inspool-wiki-en/AGENTS.md.
  2. Review inspool-wiki-en/wiki/index.md first.
  3. Locate the relevant pages based on the question.
  4. Read the necessary source, entity, concept, and synthesis pages.
  5. Produce a synthesized answer grounded in the existing wiki.
  6. For important judgments, prefer local source-page citations, ideally down to a section anchor such as [[sources/Some Source#Key Points]].

If the answer produces a durable conclusion, such as:

  • a clear comparison
  • a stable topical overview
  • a synthesis across multiple sources

then also suggest whether the result should be written back into inspool-wiki-en/wiki/synthesis/.

When answering, distinguish between:

  • established facts
  • current synthesized judgment
  • open questions that still need confirmation

Do not present unsupported claims as settled facts.

Do not prefer external URLs when a local source page already exists.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
