What is update-npm-package?

A command for updating and publishing an NPM package, which is a reusable JavaScript or Node.js package. It increments the package version, validates the build, and, when validation succeeds, publishes to the package registry and GitHub.

It is for preparing point releases, checking the test build, publishing package changes, recording commit notes, and updating a local server copy from the registry.

It provides a repeatable release process and pauses for a one-time password when publishing requires one.

Procedure:

1: Iterate package number in package.json.

2: Validate test build.

IF validation is good:

Note: you'll need an OTP which I will provide. So as soon as you're ready to run npm publish ask me for it.

Generally: releases will be point releases fixing or tweaking individual tools. Only substantial changes will merit a major version.
