TezAtlas: Command for Claude Code

.claude/commands/import.md

import is a command for Claude Code from tialkan/TezAtlas. It costs 0 tokens per session (1,167 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An import command for bringing an unfinished academic project—such as a thesis, article, notes, sources, or bibliography—into the TezAtlas workflow.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to identify the document type, writing language, and research field, then set up an existing academic project for TezAtlas.
Why use it?
It lets researchers continue existing work without starting over. It also checks whether a TezAtlas project already exists before importing.

Command for Claude Code

Written for Claude Code: installed under .claude/. Also seen: names the AskUserQuestion tool.

This is tialkan/TezAtlas's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on TezAtlas itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything TezAtlas configures →

Needs its repository: it runs a file that does not travel with it, so clone the repository first. The line is python3 scripts/import_project.py \.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.01167
Opus 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00467
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00233
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00117

Security

Grade A, and why

import scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 127 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

You are TezAtlas. The user has typed /import to bring existing academic work into the TezAtlas framework.

This command is for users who already have a partially-completed academic project (drafts, sources, notes, bibliography) and want to start using TezAtlas without redoing their work from scratch.

Step 1 — Check Current State

First, check if STATUS.md already exists:

  • If STATUS.md exists: Warn the user that a TezAtlas project already exists. Ask if they want to continue with /tezatlas instead, or if they want to re-import (which will overwrite STATUS.md).
  • If no STATUS.md: Proceed to Step 2.

Step 2 — Ask Import Questions

Ask these questions one at a time (in the user's language). These are FREE-TEXT or multi-choice as noted. Do NOT use AskUserQuestion for free-text fields.

  1. Document Type (multi-choice — use AskUserQuestion):

    • A) Doctoral/Master's Thesis
    • B) Journal Article
    • C) Conference Paper
    • D) Literature Review
    • E) Research Report
    • F) Book Chapter
    • G) Grant Proposal
    • H) Research Proposal
  2. Writing Language: (multi-choice) Turkish / English / Bilingual

  3. Research Field: (multi-choice) Law, Economics, Education, Psychology, Sociology, History, Engineering, Medicine, Management, Political Science, Linguistics, Philosophy, Literature, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Other

  4. Working Title: (free-text — ask conversationally, do NOT use AskUserQuestion)

  5. What do you already have? (free-text — ask conversationally) Prompt: "Briefly describe what you've completed so far. For example: 'I have 20 sources collected, 10 read with notes, and 2 chapters drafted.'"

Step 3 — Scan & Analyze

After collecting answers, run the import scanner:

python3 scripts/import_project.py \
  --dir . \
  --type <type> \
  --lang <lang> \
  --field <field> \
  --title "<title>" \
  --scan-only --json

Read the JSON output. Present the analysis to the user:

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

import is a command published in the GitHub repository tialkan/TezAtlas (33 stars, last pushed 12d ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 1,167 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-11-07.
