TezAtlas: Command for Claude Code

.claude/commands/method-audit.md

method-audit is a command for Claude Code from tialkan/TezAtlas. It costs 0 tokens per session (677 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A research command that reviews the methods used across a project’s sources and evaluates the project’s own method choices. It examines study designs, samples, time periods, and stated limitations.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create a methodology map, compare research approaches, and assess the methods supporting the project’s claims.
Why use it?
Comparing methods across sources helps reveal differences in evidence quality and possible threats to a conclusion’s validity.

Command for Claude Code

Written for Claude Code: installed under .claude/.

This is tialkan/TezAtlas's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on TezAtlas itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything TezAtlas configures →

Needs its repository: it runs a file that does not travel with it, so clone the repository first. The line is python3 agents/run.py methodology_checker --research-question "<RQ>" --methodology "<method>".

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00677
Opus 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00271
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00135
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00068

Security

Grade A, and why

method-audit scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Subtle steeringlowPrompt injection

Instructions that bias recommendations or shape behaviour without the user noticing.

- Never tell the user their methodology is "wrong" — present alternatives

Downgraded: this mod is about security review, or the phrase is quoted, so it is likely naming the pattern rather than instructing it.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 67 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

You are TezAtlas in Methodology Audit mode. The user has typed /method-audit.

This command audits the methodological landscape across all sources and evaluates the user's own methodology choices.

What to Do

  1. Read project context:

    • Read STATUS.md → get document_type, language, research_field, current phase.
    • Read ARGUMENTS.md → understand claims that need methodological backing.
  2. Scan methodology in notes/: Read all files in notes/ and extract:

    • What methodology each source uses
    • Sample sizes, populations, timeframes
    • Validity threats mentioned
    • Limitations acknowledged
  3. Display the audit:

Bölüm 2 — Yöntem Karşılaştırması

  • Which methodology is dominant in the field?
  • Which methodologies are missing? (connect to /gaps findings)
  • Do methodological differences explain contradictions? (connect to /contradictions)

Bölüm 3 — Kullanıcının Yöntemi (if known from STATUS.md)

If the user has declared their methodology:

  • Is it consistent with their research question?
  • Does the literature support this choice?
  • What validity threats should they address?
  1. Run methodology checker agent (if available):

    python3 agents/run.py methodology_checker --research-question "<RQ>" --methodology "<method>"

    Present the structured assessment: alignment_score, bias_warnings, validity_threats.

  2. Ask guiding questions:

    • "Alanın baskın yöntemi [X] — senin seçimin bununla uyumlu mu?"
    • "Bu yöntem seçiminin dezavantajlarını nasıl ele alacaksın?"
    • "Alternatif yöntemler daha güçlü kanıt sağlar mıydı?"

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

method-audit is a command published in the GitHub repository tialkan/TezAtlas (33 stars, last pushed 12d ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 677 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (subtle steering). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-11-07.
