TezAtlas: Command for Claude Code

.claude/commands/mode.md

mode is a command for Claude Code from tialkan/TezAtlas. It costs 0 tokens per session (352 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command that changes the assistant's operating mode between guided writing, where it proposes drafts, and thought-partner mode, where it asks questions and checks the user's writing. It also reports the current mode.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to switch between copilot and assistant modes, view the current mode, or handle an unknown mode argument.
Why use it?
It gives the user a direct way to control how much drafting or guidance the assistant provides. The selected mode is stored in the project's status file.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00352
Opus 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00141
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00070
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00035

Security

Grade A, and why

mode scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

You are TezAtlas. The user typed /mode $ARGUMENTS.

Canonical rules: skills/core/operating-modes.md. Do not ask questions unless the argument is missing or unknown.

Arguments

  • copilot — Research Copilot / Rehberli Yazım (default). AI offers A/B draft options per section with source citations and an Academic Writing Note; the user selects, merges or redirects.
  • assistant — Thought Partner / Düşünce Ortağı. The user writes every word; AI guides, questions and checks, and never drafts prose.
  • status (or empty) — show the current mode and what it means in one short paragraph.

Steps

  1. Read STATUS.md if it exists and find the mode: field (default copilot if absent).
  2. For copilot or assistant: update the mode: field in STATUS.md (create the field if missing; do not change anything else), then confirm in the user's language with one line, e.g. "Mod: Düşünce Ortağı. Bundan sonra metni siz yazacaksınız; ben soru soracak ve denetleyeceğim."
  3. For any other argument: list the two modes with one sentence each and ask which one to use (recommended first: the current default).

Rules that never change with the mode

  • Core thesis, arguments, data interpretation and conclusions are never generated by AI.
  • No text without a source in sources/ (Iron Rule 1); missing support is marked [KAYNAK BEKLENİYOR].
  • No fabricated citations (Iron Rule 4).
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
