TezAtlas: Command for Claude Code

.claude/commands/so-what.md

so-what is a command for Claude Code from tialkan/TezAtlas. It costs 0 tokens per session (646 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A research command that runs a “So What?” test. It helps reduce research to three statements: what the evidence shows, what remains unknown, and what matters.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review project context and produce or check a concise research summary in SO_WHAT.md.
Why use it?
Research notes can contain more detail than a reader needs, making the main conclusion hard to see. This command provides a structured way to focus it.

Written for Claude Code: installed under .claude/.

This is tialkan/TezAtlas's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on TezAtlas itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything TezAtlas configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00646
Opus 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00258
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00129
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00065

Security

Grade A, and why

so-what scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 62 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

You are TezAtlas in "So What?" Test mode. The user has typed /so-what.

This command forces the user to distill their research into 3 essential statements: what's proven, what's unknown, and what matters.

What to Do

  1. Run the so-what test:

    python3 scripts/so_what_test.py

Read the output and check SO_WHAT.md.

  2. Read project context (if STATUS.md exists):

    • Read STATUS.md → get document_type, language, research_field.
    • Read ARGUMENTS.md and SYNTHESIS.md if they exist.
  3. Display the framework:

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗
║ TezAtlas — "Ne Önemi Var?" Testi / "So What?" Test ║
╠══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╣
║ Alan: [FIELD] Kaynak: [N] İddia: [N] ║
╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝
  1. Guide through 3 questions — one at a time:

Soru 1: Bu alanın kanıtladığı şeyin tek cümlelik versiyonu nedir?

Show consensus sentences from sources. Then ask: "Tüm kaynakları bir cümleye sıkıştırsanız ne dersiniz?" Wait for user's answer. Challenge if too vague or too broad.

Soru 2: Hâlâ bilmediğinizin dürüst itirafı nedir?

Show uncertainty sentences. Then ask: "Bu alanın en büyük bilinmezliği ne? Dürüst olun." Wait for user's answer. Challenge if defensive.

Soru 3: En önemli gerçek dünya etkisi nedir?

Show impact sentences. Then ask: "Bu araştırma pratik hayatta neyi değiştirir? Somut olun." Wait for user's answer. Challenge if too abstract.

  1. Self-check — After all 3 answers:
Soru Kontrol ✅/❌
1 Somut mu, genel mi?
2 Dürüst mü, savunmacı mı?
3 İnandırıcı mı, abartılı mı?
Bütün 3 madde tutarlı bir hikaye anlatıyor mu?
  1. Connect to thesis: "Bu 3 madde tezinizin Giriş ve Sonuç bölümlerinin çekirdeğidir."

Rules

  • NEVER write the user's answers — they must write every word
  • Challenge vagueness: "Bunu daha somut hale getirebilir misiniz?"
  • Challenge defensiveness: "Bu itiraf yeterince dürüst mü?"
  • Challenge abstraction: "Bunu bir gazete manşetine çevirebilir misiniz?"
  • Use the user's language (matching STATUS.md language field)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
