report

report is a command for Claude Code from Untrivial-ai/agent-orchestrator. It costs 0 tokens per session (394 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A command for saving a worker's meaningful status or result for delivery to a project orchestrator. It supports checkpoints, requests for input, blocked states, completion notes, and references to artifacts or pull requests.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to report progress, ask for required input, flag a stuck task, or deliver a completed worker result and related artifact links.
Why use it?
Routine work can otherwise be hard for the coordinating process to track. The command records decisions, blockers, outputs, and terminal status without narrating every shell command.

About the project

Agent Orchestrator is a local desktop workspace for running and supervising multiple coding agents, giving each task its own session, workspace, branch, and feedback loop. It is for developers coordinating agent fleets across repositories, pull requests, CI runs, reviews, and merges. The catalogue entries are commands, skills, and instructions for working with this orchestrator.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00394
Opus 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00158
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00079
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00039

Security

Grade A, and why

report scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

ao report

Persist a meaningful worker report for durable delivery to the active project orchestrator.

Syntax

ao report <free-form-text>
ao report --checkpoint --note <text> [output flags]
ao report --needs-input --note <text> [output flags]
ao report --stuck --note <text> [output flags]
ao report --done --note <text> [output flags]

Output flags are repeatable:

--artifact <opaque-reference>
--pr-created <pr-or-mr-url>
--pr-reviewed <pr-or-mr-url>

Use reports for meaningful transitions, decisions, blockers, required input, outputs, and terminal judgment. Do not narrate routine commands. Outputs do not imply completion, and --done does not terminate the session.

Report any artifact as soon as it exists, not only at --done: attach it with --artifact <reference> on the report for the milestone that produced it. An artifact is anything durable the orchestrator or human should be able to open directly — a published Claude Artifact link, a generated document, a rendered dashboard, or similar output. --artifact takes any opaque reference string; it is not validated as a URL.

--pr-created and --pr-reviewed accept complete GitHub PR or GitLab MR URLs.

--needs-input requests immediate non-interrupting delivery. --stuck requests immediate delivery plus a rate-limited interrupt. Informational work batches for up to one hour, while the first done report opens a fixed five minute settlement window.

Examples:

ao report "The focused tests pass; I am checking the generated diff."
ao report --done --note "Ready for review." \
  --pr-created https://github.com/owner/repo/pull/88
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

report is a command published in the GitHub repository Untrivial-ai/agent-orchestrator (13,060 stars, last pushed 5d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 394 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-24.
