refresh

refresh is a command for coding agents from vyayasan/kyc-analyst. It costs 6 tokens per session (307 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A recurring review workflow for existing customers. It repeats verification checks and compares the results with the previous review to support ongoing anti-money-laundering checks.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps analysts start a scheduled or event-triggered review, compare findings, update a risk rating, escalate material changes, and document the outcome.
Why use it?
Customer details, political exposure, adverse news, or business relationships can change after onboarding; this helps identify and assess those changes.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00006 $0.00307
Opus 5 $0.00003 $0.00153
Sonnet 5 $0.00001 $0.00061
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00031

Measured 4d ago against content hash 5b35101aacb6, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

refresh scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Refresh

Periodic customer review with independent verification searches to ensure ongoing due diligence compliance and identify any changes in customer risk profile or undisclosed relationships.

Usage

/kyc:refresh <customer name>

Process

  1. Initiate - Verify last refresh date, confirm trigger (time-based, risk-based, event-based)
  2. Re-run Step 0 - Execute all 5 independent verification searches
  3. Compare - Identify changes since last review (new directorships, adverse media, PEP status)
  4. Assess - Classify changes as material or non-material
  5. Decide - Update risk rating or escalate if material changes detected
  6. Document - Generate refresh report, update case file, schedule next refresh

Refresh Intervals

  • HIGH risk: Annual (12 months)
  • MEDIUM risk: 24 months (UK/EU), 6 months (MENA)
  • LOW risk: 36 months (UK/EU), 12 months (MENA/US)

HITL Checkpoints

  • Analyst confirms trigger and timing before proceeding
  • Manager approves search completeness
  • Analyst classifies material vs non-material changes
  • Manager reviews risk reassessment
  • MLRO notified for immediate escalation cases

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

It adds 6 tokens to every session and 307 once invoked, about $0.0000 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings.
