.github/prompts/new-wiki-page.prompt.md

new-wiki-page is a command for Claude Code, GitHub Copilot from WFord26/BetTrack. It costs 20 tokens per session (288 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command that scaffolds a new wiki page in docs/wiki using a required structure, table of contents, links, code blocks, images, and next steps.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create a new documentation page from a title, then add it to the wiki home and README pages.
Why use it?
It removes the need to remember the repository's page layout and linking rules. It also keeps the wiki indexes updated when a page is added.

This is WFord26/BetTrack's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and GitHub Copilot how to work on BetTrack itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything BetTrack configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00020 $0.00288
Opus 5.5 $0.00008 $0.00115
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00004 $0.00058
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00029

Measured 1mo ago against content hash f69d19c27194, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

new-wiki-page scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Create a new wiki page in docs/wiki/ following these rules:

  1. Filename: Convert the page title to Kebab-Case.md (e.g., "Configuration Guide" → Configuration-Guide.md)
  2. Structure: Use this template:
    • # Page title
    • Brief one-line description
    • ## Table of Contents with anchor links to all ## and ### sections
    • --- between major sections
    • ## Next Steps at the bottom linking to related wiki pages
  3. Links: All cross-page links use .md extension: [Guide](Quick-Start.md)
  4. Code blocks: Always specify a language
  5. Images: Use https://raw.githubusercontent.com/WFord26/BetTrack/main/... URLs

Refer to the wiki-documentation skill and wiki-docs instructions for full linking rules.

After creating the page, update docs/wiki/home.md and docs/wiki/README.md to include a link to the new page.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
