claude-reddit-growth: Command for Claude Code

.claude/commands/reddit/reddit-audit.md

reddit-audit is a command for Claude Code from yusufcakmak/claude-reddit-growth. It costs 11 tokens per session (479 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command that creates a detailed audit and growth plan for Reddit communities, called subreddits, for a specified product.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to find primary, related, and broad-reach subreddits, compare promotion requirements, identify useful content types, and plan a Reddit presence.
Why use it?
It replaces ad-hoc community research with a structured review of relevant groups, their audiences, activity, rules, and suitable content. It asks for product context when that information is missing.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00011 $0.00479
Opus 5 $0.00005 $0.00239
Sonnet 5 $0.00002 $0.00096
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00048

Measured 11d ago against content hash 9d753db9f803, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-11, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

reddit-audit scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Reddit Audit: $ARGUMENTS

You are performing a comprehensive Reddit audit for the product: $ARGUMENTS

Instructions

Step 1: Gather Product Context

Check if a product context file exists at outputs/$ARGUMENTS/product-context.md. If not, ask the user to briefly describe:

  • What the product does
  • Who it's for (target audience)
  • Product category (SaaS, dev tool, mobile app, etc.)
  • Key differentiators

Save the context to outputs/$ARGUMENTS/product-context.md for future use.

Step 2: Subreddit Discovery

Find 10-20 relevant subreddits across three tiers:

Tier 1 — Primary (Direct Match) Subreddits where the target audience actively discusses problems your product solves.

Tier 2 — Secondary (Adjacent Audience) Subreddits where the audience overlaps but the primary topic is broader.

Tier 3 — Tertiary (Broad Reach) Large subreddits where relevant discussions occasionally surface.

Step 3: Analyze Each Subreddit

For every subreddit, document:

  • Subscriber count and activity level
  • Karma/account age requirements
  • Self-promotion policy (strict / moderate / relaxed)
  • Best content types (questions, guides, discussions, etc.)
  • Content strategy recommendation
  • Opportunity score (1-10)

Step 4: Create Content Strategy

For each Tier 1 and Tier 2 subreddit, outline:

  • 2-3 post ideas that would provide genuine value
  • Comment strategy (what types of threads to engage with)
  • Timeline recommendation (when to start posting vs. commenting)

Step 5: Compile Report

Create the full audit report with:

  • Executive summary
  • Subreddit map (table format)
  • Detailed analysis per subreddit
  • 30-day karma building roadmap
  • Content calendar suggestions

Save the output to outputs/$ARGUMENTS/reddit-audit-$ARGUMENTS.md

Output Requirements

  • Use markdown tables for the subreddit map
  • Include opportunity scores and effort estimates
  • Add "All content is for manual review and posting only" disclaimer
  • Be honest about subreddits where the product would not be welcome

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

reddit-audit is a command published in the GitHub repository yusufcakmak/claude-reddit-growth (5 stars, last pushed 5mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 11 tokens to every session and 479 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
