copilot-setting: Command for GitHub Copilot

.github/prompts/check-tx.prompt.md

check-tx is a command for GitHub Copilot from zexion7873/copilot-setting. It costs 23 tokens per session (275 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A checker for transaction boundaries in Spring-style applications. It examines transaction configuration, calls between methods, rollback rules, read-only settings, and manual transaction handling.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when reviewing service methods that read or write database data. It helps find self-invocation problems, missing rollback rules, incorrect read-only settings, and conflicting transaction control.
Why use it?
Incorrect transaction boundaries can leave partial changes committed or cause expected rollbacks not to happen. The checks distinguish confirmed results from configuration that cannot be verified.

Command for GitHub Copilot

Written for GitHub Copilot: a Copilot chat mode or prompt.

This is zexion7873/copilot-setting's own configuration. It tells GitHub Copilot how to work on copilot-setting itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything copilot-setting configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00023 $0.00275
Opus 5.5 $0.00009 $0.00110
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00005 $0.00055
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00028

Security

Grade A, and why

check-tx scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Check the transaction boundaries of this code for correctness.

First locate the <tx:advice> / <aop:config> definitions in the workspace (search for tx:advice); if they cannot be found, report checks 1, 3, and 4 as UNVERIFIABLE rather than guessing coverage.

  1. tx:advice coverage: Is this service method matched by an <aop:config> pointcut?
  2. Self-invocation: Does this.xxx() call another method requiring its own transaction? (Bypasses AOP proxy)
  3. Rollback rules: Are checked exceptions thrown without setting rollback-for?
  4. Read-only: Are query methods marked read-only="true"? (get*, find*, list*, count*)
  5. Session usage: Is manual beginTransaction() / commit() conflicting with <tx:advice>?

Output: one line per check — PASS / FAIL / UNVERIFIABLE, with evidence (file:line or the XML snippet) and the concrete fix for each FAIL. If all checks pass, say so in one line.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
