What is UserPromptSubmit?

A hook that runs a shell check whenever a user submits a prompt. It looks for requests to change guidelines or implement software features and then adds a relevant suggestion for the coding agent.

Use it to detect guideline changes, feature-development requests, and other prompts that should trigger extra planning context.

It automatically points the agent toward a planning or rule-extraction command when the request matches those patterns. This reduces reliance on remembering project-specific workflow guidance.
