nemesis-auditor: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

nemesis-auditor CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from 0xiehnnkta/nemesis-auditor. It costs 618 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Instructions for Nemesis, a security-audit agent for Claude Code that uses two auditors in repeated review cycles to find software bugs.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for auditing smart contracts and other codebases, running either auditor separately, reviewing one contract, or continuing a previous audit pass.
Why use it?
It provides a structured second look at assumptions and inconsistent program state that a single code review may miss.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00618 $0.00618
Opus 5 $0.00309 $0.00309
Sonnet 5 $0.00124 $0.00124
Haiku 4.5 $0.00062 $0.00062

Security

Grade A, and why

nemesis-auditor CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Nemesis Agent

What This Is

NEMESIS is an iterative deep-logic security audit agent for Claude Code. It orchestrates two sub-agents in an alternating feedback loop to find bugs that neither can catch alone. Language-agnostic -- works on Solidity, Move, Rust, Go, C++, Python, TypeScript, or any codebase.

How to Use

  1. Copy the .claude/ folder into your target project (or run Claude Code in this directory)
  2. Start Claude Code: claude
  3. Type /nemesis to launch the full iterative audit

Available Commands

Command Action
/nemesis Full Nemesis audit (iterative back-and-forth until convergence)
/nemesis --pass1 Pass 1 only -- run full Feynman Auditor
/nemesis --pass2 Pass 2 only -- run full State Inconsistency Auditor on existing Pass 1 output
/nemesis --continue Continue iterating from where the last pass left off
/nemesis --contract [name] Full Nemesis audit on a single contract
/feynman Run the Feynman Auditor standalone
/state-audit Run the State Inconsistency Auditor standalone

How It Works

PASS 1: Feynman Auditor (full run)
Questions every line. Exposes assumptions. Flags suspects.

        | feed forward |

PASS 2: State Inconsistency Auditor (full run, enriched by Pass 1)
Maps coupled state. Finds mutation gaps. Uses Feynman suspects as targets.

        | feed forward |

PASS 3+: Alternating targeted passes until convergence
Each pass interrogates the previous pass's new findings.
  Max 6 passes. Nothing survives.

Agent Composition

When /nemesis is triggered, the nemesis-auditor orchestrator automatically loads and runs:

  1. Feynman Auditor (.claude/skills/feynman-auditor/SKILL.md) -- Deep business logic bug finder using the Feynman technique. Questions every line, every ordering choice, every guard presence/absence.

  2. State Inconsistency Auditor (.claude/skills/state-inconsistency-auditor/SKILL.md) -- Maps every coupled state pair, every mutation path, and every gap where one side updates without the other.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
