Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.01169 | $0.01169 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00584 | $0.00584 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00234 | $0.00234 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00117 | $0.00117 |
Grade A, and why
aoa-memo AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 104 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
AGENTS.md
Root route card for aoa-memo. A nearer AGENTS.md supplies the local delta
for its subtree.
Purpose and owner lane
aoa-memo is the explicit memory and recall layer of AoA. It owns memory-object
shape and classes, recall and salience posture, temporal relevance,
memory-temperature vocabulary, provenance and witness traces, reviewed
writeback, chronicle, recurrence-support, lineage-harvest seams, owner-local
statistics, and admitted memo-owner procedures.
Memory is not proof. Recall does not establish identity, agency, source truth, runtime currentness, or live quest authority. Techniques, shared skills, eval proof, routing, roles, playbook semantics, KAG substrate meaning, cross-owner statistics, and runtime behavior remain with their owners.
Route modes and conditional sources
Read only the owner surface that can affect the task. README.md is the public
front door, not inherited procedure.
| Need | First owner surface |
|---|---|
| memory canon, classes, or recall vocabulary | DESIGN.md, MEMORY_INDEX.md, then docs/memory/MEMORY_MODEL.md |
| reviewed corpus object or intake landing | memo/AGENTS.md, then memo/OBJECT_SHAPE.md |
| owner-local measurement | stats/AGENTS.md, then its manifest and source |
| admitted memo procedure or ABI | skills/AGENTS.md, then its manifest and target SKILL.md |
| root or docs placement | docs/README.md, docs/root/ROOT_SURFACE_LAW.md, then docs/decisions/ for durable rationale |
| mechanic package or part | nearest mechanics/**/AGENTS.md; use mechanics/README.md only for its human atlas |
| agent-card form or mesh | DESIGN.AGENTS.md or config/agents/agents_mesh.json |
| generated parity | authored source, builder, generated output, then validator |
| proof, routing, role, playbook, KAG, or runtime seam | docs/boundaries/BOUNDARIES.md, then the stronger owner |
| direction or future trigger | ROADMAP |
docs/root/AGENTS_ROOT_REFERENCE.md is on-demand depth for object canon,
trust, lifecycle, bridge, writeback, and guardrail work. It is not an
unconditional reading inventory.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

aoa-memo AGENTS.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository 8Dionysus/aoa-memo (2 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 1,169 tokens to every session, about $0.0058 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
