Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00784 $0.00784
Opus 5.5 $0.00314 $0.00314
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00157 $0.00157
Haiku 4.5 $0.00078 $0.00078

Measured 1mo ago against content hash 970bbc6351e5, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

dynatrace-dql-kb dashboard.instructions.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Dynatrace Grail Dashboard JSON Instructions

When generating Dynatrace dashboard JSON, use the NEW Grail/Platform format (NOT Classic).

Top-Level Structure

{
  "version": 15,
  "variables": [],
  "tiles": {
    "0": { ... },
    "1": { ... }
  },
  "layouts": {
    "0": { "x": 0, "y": 0, "w": 24, "h": 14, "tileId": "0" }
  }
}

version is required (use 15+). tiles keys are string IDs. layouts maps to tiles by tileId.

Grid System

  • Full width = 24 columns
  • x, y: position (columns from left, rows from top)
  • w, h: size in grid units

Tile Types

Data tile — threshold table:

{
  "type": "data",
  "title": "Hosts above 90% CPU",
  "query": "timeseries usage=avg(dt.host.cpu.usage, scalar:true), by:{dt.entity.host}, from:-1h | filter usage > 90",
  "visualization": "table",
  "subType": "dql"
}

Data tile — line chart. No scalar:true. Kubernetes container metrics use k8s.namespace.name, not the namespace entity id.

{
  "type": "data",
  "title": "Container CPU by namespace",
  "query": "timeseries avg(dt.kubernetes.container.cpu_usage), by:{k8s.namespace.name}, from:-1h",
  "visualization": "lineChart",
  "subType": "dql"
}

Markdown tile:

{
  "type": "markdown",
  "title": "",
  "content": "## Section Header\nDescription text here."
}

Visualization Types

"table", "lineChart", "barChart", "areaChart", "pieChart", "donutChart", "singleValue", "honeycomb", "heatmap", "histogram", "gauge", "topList", "map", "graph", "davisAnalysis"

DQL in Queries

The query string is DQL, and it has to carry every constraint from the request.

  • Metrics use timeseries, never fetch.
  • by:{...} always has curly braces.
  • A time window goes on the timeseries command: from:-1h.
  • A threshold is a filter on a named scalar: scalar:true, then | filter usage > 90.
  • fetch logs for logs. Quote string values.
  • Kubernetes container metrics: by:{k8s.namespace.name}. Not an entity id.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
