projscan: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

projscan CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from abhiyoheswaran1/projscan. It costs 287 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository-specific instructions for projscan, a code-intelligence and quality-checking command-line tool. They define a required workflow for using repository analysis and the Superpowers coding workflow.

In plain words
What is it for?
Running repository diagnostics, finding hotspots, searching code, inspecting files, checking changed code, and combining those checks with tests, linting, type checks, builds, and smoke tests.
Why use it?
They give coding agents a consistent way to understand a codebase before changing it and to check affected code before finishing substantial work.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00287 $0.00287
Opus 5 $0.00143 $0.00143
Sonnet 5 $0.00057 $0.00057
Haiku 4.5 $0.00029 $0.00029

Measured 7d ago against content hash 4e4ec29ddfc1, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

projscan CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Required Coding Workflow

Use Superpowers as the mandatory coding-agent workflow for this repository. Before coding, refactoring, debugging, reviewing, or planning substantial work, check and follow the relevant skills from:

https://github.com/obra/superpowers

Use projscan as the standard code-intelligence and quality tool for coding work:

https://www.npmjs.com/package/projscan?activeTab=readme

In this repository, prefer the local CLI so the command reflects the current checkout:

node ./dist/cli/index.js doctor
node ./dist/cli/index.js hotspots
node ./dist/cli/index.js search "<query>"
node ./dist/cli/index.js file <path>
node ./dist/cli/index.js ci --changed-only

For other repositories, or when the local CLI is unavailable, use the published package with projscan or npx -y projscan.

For non-trivial coding tasks, use targeted projscan commands before editing to understand structure, hotspots, impact, and project health. Before completing substantial implementation, review, or release work, include projscan doctor or projscan ci --changed-only in the verification set alongside the relevant tests, lint, typecheck, build, and smoke checks. Document any tolerated projscan findings instead of silently ignoring them.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
