Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5 | $0.01840 | $0.01840 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00920 | $0.00920 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00368 | $0.00368 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00184 | $0.00184 |
Grade D, and why
collector AGENTS.md scanned grade D with 3 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Asks for rootmediumPrivilege escalation
A mod that escalates privileges can change anything on the machine, not only the project.
sudo rm -rf /usr/local/go Recursive force deletehighDestructive command
rm -rf with a variable or a broad path is one typo away from removing the wrong tree.
sudo rm -rf /usr/local/go Makes network callslowCapability
Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.

Guidelines for AI Agents Working on Collector
This document provides critical guidelines for AI agents (like Claude, GPT, etc.) working on the Collector codebase.
Development Environment Setup
Go Installation
This project requires the Go version specified in go.mod (currently Go 1.25).
Installing/Upgrading Go:
# Check required version in go.mod
head -3 go.mod
# Download and install Go from official source (example for 1.25)
cd /tmp
wget https://go.dev/dl/go1.25.linux-amd64.tar.gz
sudo rm -rf /usr/local/go
sudo tar -C /usr/local -xzf go1.25.linux-amd64.tar.gz
rm go1.25.linux-amd64.tar.gz
# Verify installation
/usr/local/go/bin/go version
Note: Go versions are available at https://go.dev/dl/go{VERSION}.linux-amd64.tar.gz
Replace {VERSION} with the version from go.mod (e.g., 1.25, 1.24.11, etc.)
Update PATH:
export PATH=/usr/local/go/bin:$PATH
⚠️ CRITICAL: Test Requirements
You MUST Run All Tests Before Claiming Completion
./RUN_ALL_TESTS_BEFORE_SUBMIT.sh
Any test failure is YOUR responsibility to fix. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- ❌ NEVER claim a task is complete if tests are failing
- ❌ NEVER say "these failures are pre-existing" without verification
- ❌ NEVER run only a subset of tests and assume everything works
- ❌ NEVER skip integration tests or backup validation tests
Test Script Details
The RUN_ALL_TESTS_BEFORE_SUBMIT.sh script runs:
- Build Verification - Ensures all packages build cleanly
- Code Quality Checks -
go vetandgo fmtvalidation - Unit Tests - All package tests (
pkg/collection,pkg/registry,pkg/dispatch,pkg/db/sqlite) - Integration Tests - End-to-end multi-collector scenarios
- Backup System Validation - Backup functionality and near-zero downtime verification
- Concurrency Tests - Race detection across all packages
- Durability Tests - Database consistency and recovery
- Benchmarks - Performance regression detection
- Coverage Report - Test coverage metrics (should be >70%)
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

collector AGENTS.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository accretional/collector (43 stars, last pushed 7mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 1,840 tokens to every session, about $0.0092 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it D with 3 findings (asks for root, recursive force delete, makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
