NEUTRON-EVO-OS: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

NEUTRON-EVO-OS CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from adamwang99/NEUTRON-EVO-OS. It costs 512 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Project instructions for NEUTRON EVO OS, an internal Python and Node.js system that uses the Claude API and provides command-line and MCP server tools. They describe its structure, local documentation, cleanup commands, and workflow.

In plain words
What is it for?
Starting the MCP server, running Python tests, cleaning generated files, reading project memory, and following the repository's development process.
Why use it?
They help an agent understand where the system's code, memory, hooks, and skills live before changing anything. They also provide the project's required sequence for investigating, building, checking, and shipping work.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00512 $0.00512
Opus 5 $0.00256 $0.00256
Sonnet 5 $0.00102 $0.00102
Haiku 4.5 $0.00051 $0.00051

Security

Grade A, and why

NEUTRON-EVO-OS CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

AI Context Master — NEUTRON EVO OS

Internal project: NEUTRON EVO OS source code itself.

Stack

  • Python (CLI engine, MCP server)
  • Node.js (integrations)
  • Claude API

Commands

  • MCP server: python3 -m mcp_server --transport http --port 3100
  • Run tests: pytest
  • GC cleanup: neutron gc --pycache --tests --data-json

Local Docs

See NEUTRON_CONTEXT.md for the full system context.

  • memory/LEARNED.mdBug fixes & patterns: read before starting any fix
  • memory/archived/AUDIT_NOTES_2026-04-06.md — Full system audit (scores, CI state, remaining issues)
  • engine/ — NEUTRON CLI engine implementation
  • mcp_server/ — MCP server (stdio, SSE, HTTP, WebSocket)
  • skills/ — Claude Code skill definitions
  • hooks/ — Session hooks (session-start.sh, gc_lightweight.py)
  • memory/ — Session logs, cookbooks, shipments, learned

Key Conventions

  • Follow NEUTRON EVO OS workflow: explore → discovery → spec → build → verify → acceptance → ship
  • Auto-confirm gates: memory/.auto_confirm.json controls bypass
  • SessionStart: runs GC, injects LEARNED bugs + cookbook patterns, triggers Dream Cycle (12h debounce)
  • CI routing: keyword-based (65%) + CI signal (35%) — see engine/expert_skill_router.py
  • Swarm agents: spawn_parallel(unit_configs) in mcp_server/tools.py — true N-agent parallel
  • Distill: ship step writes memory/pending/LEARNED_pending.md for review

Known Issues

  • Dream Cycle AI: Requires ANTHROPIC_API_KEY env var (Anthropic format). Non-AI phases work without it.
  • Directory boundary: Read/Glob/Grep blocked outside project root via pretool-guard.sh. Observer and GC scoped to project root only.
  • PreLoadMemory: Not a valid hook. Use SessionStart instead.
  • Legacy docs archived to memory/archived/.

Forbidden

  • Never commit sensitive files (.env, credentials.json)
  • Never skip hooks (--no-verify, --no-gpg-sign)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
