aeon-music-video: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

aeon-music-video AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from AEON-7/aeon-music-video. It costs 1,166 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Local instructions for an AI agent that runs AEON-7/aeon-music-video, a Python tool for creating music videos from audio and video clips.

In plain words
What is it for?
They guide setup and use for audio-reactive videos, beat-synced edits, and rapid-cut vertical videos with effects.
Why use it?
They prevent the agent from trying to use remote machines, network services, or ComfyUI when this tool only runs on the local computer.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01166 $0.01166
Opus 5 $0.00583 $0.00583
Sonnet 5 $0.00233 $0.00233
Haiku 4.5 $0.00117 $0.00117

Security

Grade A, and why

aeon-music-video AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

AGENTS.md — aeon-music-video

Instructions for AI agents that operate this tool.

Step 0 — This tool is local-only

Unlike its sibling repos in AEON Media Production, this one has no ComfyUI dependency and no remote-execution path. Always invoke directly:

python scripts/reactive_compositor.py --audio song.flac --mood-clip ... -o out.mp4
python scripts/dmt_flash_editor.py --schedule schedule.json --audio song.flac -o out.mp4

No SSH commands, no HTTP calls, no model downloads. The user just needs ffmpeg on PATH and Python deps installed via ./setup.sh.

If the user is running their primary work on a remote GPU box, they likely have audio/video files there that need to come back to a local machine before this tool can use them — instruct them to scp or sync the files locally first, then run this tool against the local copies.

When to invoke

  • User asks for an "audio-reactive music video" / "video that reacts to the song" / "beat-synced edit"
  • User wants a "DMT flash" / "Tron aesthetic" / "rapid-cut vertical music video"
  • User has clips + a song and needs them combined with reactive effects

Setup contract

Run ./setup.sh once. Idempotent. Verifies:

  • Python deps installed (requirements.txt)
  • ffmpeg + ffprobe on PATH (or FFMPEG/FFPROBE env vars)
  • librosa import works

No ComfyUI required, no models to download. This repo is pure CPU + ffmpeg.

Invocation contract

Smooth music video (reactive_compositor.py)

Use when:

  • User wants a longer-form music video (1–4 min)
  • Mood-driven editing — different sections of the song should feel different visually
  • Crossfades between clips, not hard cuts
python scripts/reactive_compositor.py \
    --audio <song>.flac \
--mood-clip <bucket>:<clip>.mp4 # repeat per bucket: calm, cosmic, building, crystalline, deep, explosive
    --output <out>.mp4 \
    --fps 24 --width 832 --height 480

Mood buckets are documented in SKILL.md. If you only have a flat list of clips (no bucket info), use --clip <path> repeatedly and the compositor distributes them by inferred segment intensity.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
