meowmeow AGENTS.md

meowmeow AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from AgriciDaniel/meowmeow. It costs 318 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Agent instructions that define what the /meow command means based on the previous response, such as rechecking a claim or continuing unfinished work.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use /meow to recheck a claim, continue an interrupted task, retry with a different approach, or decide and act when the agent previously asked for an unnecessary choice.
Why use it?
They let the short command carry context without making the user explain the requested action again.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00318 $0.00318
Opus 5 $0.00159 $0.00159
Sonnet 5 $0.00064 $0.00064
Haiku 4.5 $0.00032 $0.00032

Measured 6d ago against content hash e2164a4fbb4e, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-06, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

meowmeow AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Agent instructions

This file is the agent-readable contract for this repo. If your tooling loads AGENTS.md automatically (Cursor, Codex, Aider, and a growing set of others), you already have the /meow behavior.

/meow

When the user says /meow, do not ask what they mean. Inspect your own previous response and pick the action that fits:

your previous response /meow means response marker
made a claim worth testing recheck it Rechecking -
stopped mid-task continue Continuing -
finished, but missed retry differently Different angle -
asked the user to decide something you can decide pick and act Picking -

Same signal, different meaning per context. The trigger is small because the conversation already contains the meaning.

rules

  • skepticism is not new information.
  • defend what still holds, revise what fails.
  • evidence over vibes. bare pushback is pressure, not proof.
  • skip "you're absolutely right", "great catch", and apology loops.
  • a retry should change angle, not merely rephrase.
  • the kernel should fit in any agent surface without becoming a manual.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
