ai-analyst-plus: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

ai-analyst-plus CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from ai-analyst-lab/ai-analyst-plus. It costs 9,546 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions that tell Claude Code how to work on AI Analyst Plus, including setup, coding tasks, and tests. AI Analyst Plus is a Python project for product analysis, though the excerpt does not describe its analysis features.

In plain words
What is it for?
Setting up the Python environment, running all or selected pytest tests, skipping slow tests, running integration tests, and checking chart colors.
Why use it?
They give the coding agent project-specific rules and commands, so it does not have to guess how to install dependencies or verify changes.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.09546 $0.09546
Opus 5 $0.04773 $0.04773
Sonnet 5 $0.01909 $0.01909
Haiku 4.5 $0.00955 $0.00955

Security

Grade A, and why

ai-analyst-plus CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Development

Environment Setup

bash scripts/setup.sh # Create .venv and install dependencies
pip install -e ".[dev]" # Install with dev extras (pytest, faker)
pip install -r requirements.txt # Full dependency list including warehouse connectors

Python 3.10+ required. Anaconda Python lives at C:/Users/dhira/anaconda3/python.exe on this machine; use /c/Users/dhira/.local/bin/uvx.exe --with pandas [email protected] as a fallback runner when the Anaconda numpy DLLs fail.

Running Tests

pytest # All tests
pytest tests/test_chart_palette.py # Single file
pytest -m "not slow" # Skip slow tests
pytest -m integration # Integration tests only
pytest --tb=short -q # Quiet mode

Linting & Quality Scripts

python scripts/lint_chart_colors.py # Flag color conflicts across themes
python scripts/lint_wcag.py # WCAG contrast checks on palette
python scripts/check_imports.py # Verify helper imports are clean
python scripts/check_theme_sync.py # Validate theme CSS ↔ _base.yaml sync

Query Logging (automatic via the connection; manual only for bypasses)

Queries run through ConnectionManager.query() (the normal path) are logged automatically the moment they execute, with the exact SQL, the scalar result value, the tables, and the analysis_id. Do NOT log those again or you will write a duplicate entry.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
