ai-blueprint: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

ai-blueprint AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from aiblueprinthq/ai-blueprint. It costs 3,404 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Project instructions for AI coding agents, stored mainly in AGENTS.md. They explain the project's workflow, configuration, context files, and coding rules for tools such as Codex, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot.

In plain words
What is it for?
Understanding how to work in an AI Blueprint project, finding its configuration and standards, and avoiding incorrect setup such as scaffolding an app in a non-empty blueprint directory.
Why use it?
They give different coding agents one shared set of project instructions, reducing inconsistent decisions and repeated explanations.

Instructions file for CodexOpenCode

Written for Codex and OpenCode: the file is AGENTS.md. Also seen: reads .claude/ paths; mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions subagents.

This is aiblueprinthq/ai-blueprint's own configuration. It tells Codex and OpenCode how to work on ai-blueprint itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything ai-blueprint configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.03404 $0.03404
Opus 5 $0.01702 $0.01702
Sonnet 5 $0.00681 $0.00681
Haiku 4.5 $0.00340 $0.00340

Security

Grade A, and why

ai-blueprint AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 266 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

AGENTS.md

Instructions for AI coding agents working in this project. This is the cross-tool entry point: Codex, OpenCode, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, Aider, Zed, Windsurf, and others read AGENTS.md. Claude Code reads CLAUDE.md, which imports this file, so there is a single source of truth.

Claude Code, Codex, and every other AI tool must not add AI attribution to commits or pull requests, including AI Co-Authored-By trailers or generated-by signatures. Preserve genuine human attribution. See Commit and PR attribution for optional tool settings.

What this is

A description of your project and the problem it solves.

This project is built with the AI Blueprint, a workflow layer, not an app skeleton. To start a new project, scaffold the app first in an empty folder (create-next-app, Vite, etc.), then overlay these files on top. Never run a framework scaffolder inside a directory that already holds the blueprint files (AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, .agents/, .claude/, blueprint/); it fails because the directory isn't empty.

The workflow is defined by the local skills and context files below.

Read these when relevant

  • blueprint/config.json - deterministic project workflow settings
  • blueprint/context/project-overview.md - the project's source of truth
  • blueprint/context/coding-standards.md - read before changing code
  • blueprint/context/ai-interaction.md - read when running the Blueprint workflow
  • blueprint/context/current-feature.md - the one feature, fix, or rollback being built right now

Reuse relevant context already loaded in the session. Claude Code imports only this file; its Blueprint skills load the other files on demand.

Project configuration

blueprint/config.json is the user-owned, machine-readable workflow policy for this project. Workflow skills read the relevant settings before acting. A missing file means built-in defaults. An invalid file falls back to defaults for read-only status reporting, but mutating workflow commands stop and point to /doctor instead of guessing.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
