boxbox: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

boxbox CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from aiunlocked1412/boxbox. It costs 1,046 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for a Claude Code plugin called BoxBox. The plugin creates a self-contained HTML diagram that explains a software project to people who do not code.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when working on the plugin's slash command, its three-stage scanner-to-analyzer-to-visualizer process, or its JSON files and generated diagrams.
Why use it?
It helps founders, designers, and other non-coders understand a project's technologies, features, files, and relationships without reading the source code.

Instructions file for Claude Code

Written for Claude Code: Claude Code plugin machinery. Also seen: mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions subagents; mentions Claude Code.

This is aiunlocked1412/boxbox's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on boxbox itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything boxbox configures →

Not installable: its command points at a path on the author’s own machine, so it runs nowhere else. The line is /Users/p1m5/dev-2026/boxbox.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01046 $0.01046
Opus 5 $0.00523 $0.00523
Sonnet 5 $0.00209 $0.00209
Haiku 4.5 $0.00105 $0.00105

Security

Grade A, and why

boxbox CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.

What this repo is

This is a Claude Code plugin (not an app). There is no build step, no test framework, no runtime. The repo is just markdown + JSON files that Claude Code loads at install time:

  • .claude-plugin/plugin.json — manifest (/plugin install reads this)
  • .claude-plugin/marketplace.json — marketplace listing (this repo IS its own marketplace)
  • commands/boxbox.md — the /boxbox slash command body
  • agents/boxbox-{scanner,analyzer,visualizer}.md — three subagents

The plugin's job: when a user types /boxbox, generate .boxbox/diagram.html — a beautiful, beginner-friendly system diagram for non-coders (vibe-coders, founders, designers).

Architecture: 3-stage pipeline

/boxbox orchestrates three subagents in sequence. Each writes a JSON file consumed by the next:

scanner → .boxbox/scan.json (inventory: stack + features + files)
analyzer → .boxbox/graph.json (graph: nodes + edges, all in plain English)
visualizer → .boxbox/diagram.html (self-contained HTML, embeds graph.json)

The schemas are defined inline in each agent's markdown. If you change a schema field in one agent, you MUST update the consumer agent too — there is no shared schema file.

Non-obvious invariants

The HTML template lives inside agents/boxbox-visualizer.md. It is the source of truth for diagram styling. When changing diagram look/feel, edit the visualizer markdown — do not just edit a generated .boxbox/diagram.html (that file is throwaway output).

/*__GRAPH_JSON__*/ is the only substitution point in the visualizer template. Adding more template variables means updating the visualizer's "Substitution rule" section to match.

All plugin-facing text is English. The audience is global non-coders. Even though the repo owner uses Thai conversationally, every string visible to plugin users (UI labels, agent prompts, headlines, plain_english fields, README) MUST be English.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
