Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00505 $0.00505
Opus 5 $0.00253 $0.00253
Sonnet 5 $0.00101 $0.00101
Haiku 4.5 $0.00051 $0.00051

Measured 11d ago against content hash 667d03092cf0, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-11, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

claude-companions CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Claude Companions — Installation Guide

This repo contains a library of communication tones for Claude Code. When a user asks to install, set up, or configure tones, follow this guide.

Installation

When the user asks to install (e.g., "install tones", "set up tones", "configure tones"), determine what they want:

1. Predefined Tones

  • All tones: make install-tones
  • Specific tones: make install-tone TONE=<name> for each
  • None: Skip

2. Session-Start Trigger (random tone each session)

  • Yes: make install-hook
  • No: Skip

3. /tone Command (change/list/random tones mid-session)

  • Yes: make install-tone-skill
  • No: Skip

4. /create-tone Skill (generate new custom tones)

  • Yes: make install-create-skill
  • No: Skip

Quick Install

  • Everything: make install-all

Interpreting Natural Language

  • "install without trigger" → install-tones + skills, skip hook
  • "just give me gordon-ramsay and churchill" → make install-tone TONE=gordon-ramsay && make install-tone TONE=churchill
  • "install everything" → make install-all
  • "just the commands" → install skills only, skip tones and hook

Platform Detection

  • macOS/Linux: Use make targets
  • Windows: Use PowerShell scripts: .\scripts\windows\install.ps1 -All or with switches: -Tones, -Hook, -ToneSkill, -CreateSkill, -Tone <name>

Uninstall

  • Everything: make uninstall
  • Just tones: make uninstall-tones
  • Specific tone: make uninstall-tone TONE=<name>
  • Windows: .\scripts\windows\uninstall.ps1 -All or with individual switches

Update

  • git pull && make install-all — pulls latest and re-copies all files

Status

  • make status — shows what's currently installed

Listing Tones

  • make list — shows all tones with their status (installed/available/local)
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
