db2st-mcp: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

db2st-mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from AlexisMarasigan/db2st-mcp. It costs 1,121 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of instructions for AI coding assistants working in a Python server repository that provides authenticated shipment-tracking tools.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to navigate the repository from its architecture documentation down to specific application and domain areas, while following its layout and maintenance rules.
Why use it?
It tells an assistant what the repository does and which documentation to read before changing routing, tracking, authentication, quotas, or deployment code.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01121 $0.01121
Opus 5 $0.00561 $0.00561
Sonnet 5 $0.00224 $0.00224
Haiku 4.5 $0.00112 $0.00112

Measured 10d ago against content hash 95d5a18d9172, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-10, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

db2st-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What this repo is

A Python MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that exposes shipment tracking as authenticated tools. Built for horizontal scale, deployed as a Knative Function. See ARCHITECTURE.md for the 10,000 ft view.

This codebase follows the Clara Philosophy. To understand any part of it, load docs from root to leaf:

Working on… Load…
System-level reasoning ARCHITECTURE.md
Routing / composition / middleware ARCHITECTURE.mdsrc/db2st_mcp/apps/server/APP.md
Tracking behavior ARCHITECTURE.mdsrc/db2st_mcp/domains/tracking/DOMAIN.md
Auth / quota behavior ARCHITECTURE.mdsrc/db2st_mcp/domains/auth/DOMAIN.md
Deployment docs/KNATIVE.md
Roadmap / sprint plan docs/ROADMAP.md

Each doc is capped (~1 page for ARCHITECTURE/APP, 1–2 for DOMAIN). Don't bloat them.

Layout

Maintenance rules

  1. shared/ is one-way. Domains and apps import from shared/. Never the reverse.
  2. Domains are self-contained. Cross-domain imports must be directional and documented in the dependent domain's DOMAIN.md.
  3. One page rule. ARCHITECTURE.md ≤ 1 page. APP.md ≤ 1 page. DOMAIN.md ≤ 2 pages. If a doc grows past, split or simplify the system.
  4. Decision log at the bottom of every doc. Every non-obvious choice gets one line + reason.
  5. If it's obvious from the code, don't document it.
  6. Tests mirror src layout. A file under src/db2st_mcp/foo/bar.py gets tests at the same path under tests/unit/foo/test_bar.py.
  7. Conventional Commits. feat:, fix:, chore:, refactor:, docs:, test:, release:. Optional scope: feat(tracking): ....

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
