WorkGraph AGENTS.md

WorkGraph AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from AlexWangzhixin/WorkGraph. It costs 159 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

Project-specific instructions for maintaining WorkGraph, a local tool that maps work and connects searchable knowledge. They define which workspace data may be read or changed and what must stay private or uncommitted.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when working on WorkGraph to follow its read-only rules, handle shared-memory changes explicitly, use the project environment, run tests, and keep private or generated files out of commits.
Why use it?
They prevent accidental changes to user-owned notes, sensitive data, generated indexes, configuration, and local files during development.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00159 $0.00159
Opus 5 $0.00079 $0.00079
Sonnet 5 $0.00032 $0.00032
Haiku 4.5 $0.00016 $0.00016

Measured 2d ago against content hash cbc8ce591524, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

WorkGraph AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

WorkGraph maintenance

  • Treat the user-configured workspace as read-only source material. Never move, delete, or reorganize it from WorkGraph.
  • data/workgraph.sqlite3 and generated Obsidian pages are rebuildable indexes.
  • The Obsidian 80_Curated folder is user-owned and must never be overwritten.
  • Sensitive areas expose metadata only. Do not add content extraction for them without an explicit, documented opt-in.
  • Shared-memory writes remain explicit through sync-memory --apply; ordinary scans are read-only.
  • Use a project-local .venv, invoke its interpreter explicitly, and run unit tests before release.
  • Never commit config/workgraph.json, databases, logs, backups, screenshots from a real workspace, or absolute user paths.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
