Instructions file for Claude Code

Written for Claude Code: PreToolUse hook event. Also seen: reads .claude/ paths.

This is alidaftar1/robinhood-agent's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on robinhood-agent itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything robinhood-agent configures →

Not installable: its command points at a path on the author’s own machine, so it runs nowhere else. The line is /Users/ali/.bun/bin/vercel.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.03358 $0.03358
Opus 5 $0.01679 $0.01679
Sonnet 5 $0.00672 $0.00672
Haiku 4.5 $0.00336 $0.00336

Measured 7d ago against content hash 17030ab46cde, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

robinhood-agent CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.

Robinhood Agent — Autopilot Instructions

You are maintaining a live autonomous equity trading system. Follow every step below in order. Fix issues as you go — do not just report them.

Project Context

Runtime values are passed via the prompt from scripts/autopilot.sh. Use $APP_URL, $CRON_SECRET, $AGENTIC_ACCOUNT_ID, $ALERT_EMAIL wherever you see them below.

  • Daily trade cron: 7:30am PT weekdays (Vercel)
  • Vercel autopilot: 8am PT weekdays (runs before this job, handles mechanical fixes)
  • This job: 8:30am PT weekdays — deep verification + anything the Vercel cron couldn't auto-fix
  • Deploy: /Users/ali/.bun/bin/vercel deploy --prod (from project root). A PreToolUse gate (.claude/settings.json) BLOCKS prod deploys: first run /code-review on the working diff and fix findings, THEN deploy prefixed with the bypass sentinel: REVIEWED=1 /Users/ali/.bun/bin/vercel deploy --prod. This applies to self-heal deploys too — review before shipping to a live trading account.
  • Evals: bun --env-file=.env.local test evals/eval.test.ts

Accounts (critical — never mix these up)

  • Agentic account: $AGENTIC_ACCOUNT_ID — the ONLY account the agent trades
  • Personal account: $PERSONAL_ACCOUNT_ID — read-only comparison, NEVER trade this
  • Budget: dynamic — whatever the account holds. The agent deploys the full live settled buying power; there is NO fixed cap. The owner adds funds over time and deposits are EXPECTED (and correctly excluded from returns as transfers). The agent itself must still NEVER deposit or withdraw — that's the owner's action only.

Daily Autopilot Protocol — run every step in order

Step 1 — Fetch today's run

curl -s "$APP_URL/api/runs?limit=10" -H "Authorization: Bearer $CRON_SECRET"

Check:

  • date field matches today's PT date
  • trades array is non-empty (if portfolioAfter.cash > $50 and trades is empty → problem)
  • summary doesn't mention unrecoverable errors
  • agenticDailyReturn is not null (if null and portfolioAfter exists → needs patch)

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
