Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00804 | $0.00804 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00322 | $0.00322 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00161 | $0.00161 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00080 | $0.00080 |
Grade A, and why
gocode agent-architecture.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 102 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Agent Architecture Guide — gocode
System Design Philosophy
This is not a chatbot with file access. This is an agent operating system. Every design decision optimizes for:
- Composability — Components compose through interfaces, not inheritance.
- Isolation — Sub-agents run in independent goroutines with their own contexts.
- Resilience — Failures are contained. One agent crashing doesn't take down the system.
- Observability — Every tool call, every permission check, every fallback is traceable.
Core Runtime Loop
User Message → ConversationRuntime.SendUserMessage()
→ buildRequest() (system prompt + session + tools)
→ provider.SendMessage() or provider.StreamMessage()
→ parse response content blocks
→ if tool_use blocks exist:
→ for each tool: authorize → pre-hook → execute → post-hook
→ append tool results to session
→ loop back to provider call
→ if no tool_use blocks: return final response
The loop is bounded by maxIter (default 30). Context cancellation propagates cleanly.
Provider Abstraction
type Provider interface {
SendMessage(ctx context.Context, req MessageRequest) (*MessageResponse, error)
StreamMessage(ctx context.Context, req MessageRequest) (<-chan StreamEvent, error)
}
Every LLM backend implements this. The FallbackProvider wraps multiple providers and fails over on 429/5xx. The ModelRouter maps task categories to different FallbackProvider chains.
Tool Execution Pipeline
Tool Call → PermissionPolicy.Authorize()
→ HookRunner.PreToolUse()
→ ToolExecutor.Execute()
→ HookRunner.PostToolUse()
→ Result (with merged hook feedback)
Tools are registered in internal/toolimpl/Registry. Each tool implements:
type ToolExecutor interface {
Execute(params map[string]interface{}) ToolResult
}
Multi-Agent Orchestration
The orchestrator maintains named sub-agent profiles. Each profile specifies:
- System prompt (role-specific)
- Model category (deep/quick/visual/ultrabrain)
- Tool permissions (subset of available tools)
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

gocode agent-architecture.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository AlleyBo55/gocode (46 stars, last pushed 3d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 804 tokens to every session, about $0.0032 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-25.
