Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.03590 | $0.03590 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.01436 | $0.01436 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00718 | $0.00718 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00359 | $0.00359 |
Grade A, and why
altmetric-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
This is a copy
100% identical to deepseek-harness CLAUDE.md — 198 lines differ, which has more behind it and is treated as the original. This page carries a canonical link to it rather than competing with it.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 197 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Project Instructions
This file provides guidance to AI agents when working with code in this repository.
Project Overview
This is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides AI agents with access to both the Altmetric Details Page API and Explorer API for retrieving citation metrics and research output data. Built using the @modelcontextprotocol/sdk, it uses stdio transport for communication with MCP clients like Claude Desktop.
The server integrates two different Altmetric APIs:
- Details Page API - Public API for citation counts and details by identifier (DOI, PubMed ID, etc.)
- Explorer API - Institutional API for searching and analyzing research outputs in your organization
Commands
Development
npm run dev- Run server in development mode with auto-reload (usingnode --watch)npm start- Run server in production modenpm test- Run all tests using Mocha
Publishing New Versions
To release a new version:
-
Bump the version. Edit it in
package.jsonandserver.json(which has it twice - top-levelversionandpackages[0].version), then sync the lockfile:npm install --package-lock-onlyThis rewrites
package-lock.json's twoversionfields frompackage.jsonautomatically - do not hand-edit the lockfile. All four version fields must match orpublish.shaborts the release; forgettingpackage-lock.jsonis an easy, recurring miss, which is exactly why the check (and this step) exist. -
Commit the version bump:
git add package.json server.json package-lock.json git commit -m "Bump version to X.Y.Z" -
Push to remote:
git push origin main -
Run the publish script:
./publish.shThe script will:
- ✅ Verify you're on main and synced with remote
- ✅ Check version consistency across files
- ✅ Run all tests
- ✅ Create git tag (e.g., v0.2.0)
- ✅ Prompt to push tag to GitHub
- ✅ Prompt to publish to npm
- ✅ Prompt to publish to MCP Registry
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

altmetric-mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository altmetric/altmetric-mcp (7 stars, last pushed 5d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 3,590 tokens to every session, about $0.0144 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. It is 100% identical to deepseek-harness CLAUDE.md, differing in 198 lines, and is treated as a copy.
