own-planner: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

own-planner CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from am-space/own-planner. It costs 1,732 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of instructions for OwnPlanner, a personal planning assistant with a .NET backend, a React and TypeScript web interface, and per-user SQLite databases. It explains the project layout and commands for checking each part or the whole application.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when changing or testing the backend, frontend, database features, or chat tools in OwnPlanner.
Why use it?
It tells an AI assistant which instruction file is authoritative and how to verify changes. This reduces unnecessary testing and helps avoid mixing frontend and backend responsibilities.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01732 $0.01732
Opus 5.5 $0.00693 $0.00693
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00346 $0.00346
Haiku 4.5 $0.00173 $0.00173

Security

Grade A, and why

own-planner CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Overview

OwnPlanner is an AI-powered personal planning assistant: a layered .NET 10 solution with a React + TypeScript (Vite, MUI) frontend. Users chat with a Google Gemini LLM that invokes in-process MCP-style tools to manage tasks, notes, goals, and contexts stored in per-user SQLite databases.

Common commands

Run from the repo root unless noted.

# Install/restore dependencies, then run the full local CI-equivalent verification
./scripts/setup.sh
./scripts/verify.sh

# Verify only one stack
./scripts/verify.sh --backend
./scripts/verify.sh --frontend

# Single test project, class, or method
dotnet test --project OwnPlanner.Application.Tests/OwnPlanner.Application.Tests.csproj
dotnet test --project OwnPlanner.Domain.Tests --filter-class "OwnPlanner.Domain.Tests.Tasks.TaskItemTests"
dotnet test --project OwnPlanner.Domain.Tests --filter-method "*Ctor_Valid_SetsProperties"

# Run the web server (auto-launches the Vite dev server via SpaProxy)
dotnet run --project OwnPlanner.Web/OwnPlanner.Web.Server # http://localhost:5079

# Run the console chat loop (type `exit` to quit)
dotnet run --project OwnPlanner.Console

Frontend (from OwnPlanner.Web/ownplanner.web.client/):

npm ci
npm run dev # Vite dev server
npm run build # tsc -b && vite build
npm run lint # eslint

CI (.github/workflows/ci.yml) uses the same scripts: scripts/setup.sh, then frontend and backend verification. Run ./scripts/verify.sh before pushing to match both verification paths locally.

Git workflow

  • Never commit directly to master.
  • Before the first task commit, create or switch to a dedicated branch. Unless the user specifies another name, use feature/<short-description> for enhancements and fix/<short-description> for bug fixes.
  • Keep unrelated staged or working-tree changes out of task commits.
  • Open a pull request targeting master when the work is ready for review.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
