Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00494 $0.00494
Opus 5 $0.00247 $0.00247
Sonnet 5 $0.00099 $0.00099
Haiku 4.5 $0.00049 $0.00049

Measured 9d ago against content hash af313ef4bd43, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-09, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

mcp-server-woocommerce CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

WooCommerce MCP Server

Build & Test

pnpm build # TypeScript compilation
pnpm test # Run vitest tests
pnpm test:watch # Watch mode

Architecture

  • src/services/base.ts — shared error handling & pagination for all tools
  • src/services/woo-client.ts — WooCommerce API client singleton
  • src/services/wp-client.ts — WordPress REST API client (for media management)
  • src/tools/*.ts — each file registers tools for a domain (products, orders, etc.)
  • src/server.ts — exports createServer() factory and singleton server; registers all tool modules
  • src/index.ts — entry point: selects stdio or HTTP transport via MCP_TRANSPORT env var
  • src/http.ts — HTTP transport: dual auth (bearer token or OAuth 2.1 via Auth0), health endpoint, session management

Adding New Tools

  1. Create a new file in src/tools/ following the existing pattern
  2. Export a register*Tools(server: McpServer) function
  3. Import and call it in src/server.ts
  4. Run pnpm build

Key Patterns

  • @woocommerce/woocommerce-rest-api default export needs CJS compat: (pkg as any).default || pkg
  • handleListRequest / handleRequest in base.ts handle all error + response formatting
  • Each tool defines *_LIST_FIELDS and *_FIELDS arrays for default field filtering
  • resolveFields() in base.ts parses comma-separated fields or falls back to defaults

Commits

  • Do NOT add Co-Authored-By lines to commit messages

Infrastructure

  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions (.github/workflows/ci.yml) — Node 20+22, typecheck, test, build
  • Docker: Multi-stage build via Dockerfile, auto-published to GHCR via .github/workflows/docker.yml
  • Deployment: Hostinger, Railway, Fly.io, Docker — see docs/DEPLOYMENT.md
  • Registry: Smithery config in smithery.yaml
  • Tests: Vitest — tests live as *.test.ts alongside source files
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
