CLAUDE.md

claude-code-ampeco-public-api-skill CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from ampeco/claude-code-ampeco-public-api-skill. It costs 684 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A Claude Code instruction file for working with the AMPECO Public API, which is an interface for connecting software to an electric-vehicle charging platform. It documents the project, repository layout, commands, and API documentation updates.

In plain words
What is it for?
Exploring and explaining AMPECO API endpoints, schemas, authentication, pagination, filtering, errors, data relationships, and regenerating reference documentation from the API specification.
Why use it?
It gives Claude Code the project context and reference structure needed to work consistently with the API instead of guessing how the repository or endpoints are organised.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00684 $0.00684
Opus 5 $0.00342 $0.00342
Sonnet 5 $0.00137 $0.00137
Haiku 4.5 $0.00068 $0.00068

Measured 8d ago against content hash 13c5da22c3ec, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

claude-code-ampeco-public-api-skill CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.

Project Overview

Type: Claude Code Standalone Skill Purpose: Help developers integrate with the AMPECO EV Charging Platform Public API

This is a standalone skill (ampeco-public-api) that can be installed into any Claude Code project or user's personal skills directory. It enables Claude Code to explore and explain AMPECO's Public API endpoints, schemas, and integration patterns.

Commands

Update API Documentation

Fetch latest OpenAPI spec and regenerate all reference files:

bash scripts/fetch-and-generate.sh

Prerequisites: curl and jq must be installed

This script:

  1. Fetches latest spec from https://developers.ampeco.com/openapi/public-api.yaml
  2. Regenerates endpoints-index.md, schemas-index.md, deprecation-map.md
  3. Updates the quick index table in SKILL.md

Key Concepts

Standalone Skill Architecture

This repo IS the skill - users clone it directly into their skills directory:

  • Personal: ~/.claude/skills/ampeco-public-api/
  • Project: .claude/skills/ampeco-public-api/

Claude Code discovers the skill by finding SKILL.md at the root.

SKILL.md Structure

The skill file has two parts:

  1. Frontmatter (YAML between ---): Defines skill name, description, trigger keywords, and allowed tools
  2. Content: Quick reference and usage instructions that get expanded when skill is invoked

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
