CLAUDE.md

skills CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from ananthanandanan/skills. It costs 1,515 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for ANK Skills, a collection of Claude Code skills. The collection includes a workflow from interviewing and writing specifications to planning, implementation review, and handing over context.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when working on the skills collection or its workflow, including specification, task planning, visual plans, review walkthroughs, and context handoffs.
Why use it?
They explain how the skills fit together, where they are installed, and which files define the project's rules.

Written for Claude Code: Claude Code plugin machinery. Also seen: reads .claude/ paths; mentions CLAUDE.md; mentions Claude Code.

This is ananthanandanan/skills's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on skills itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything skills configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01515 $0.01515
Opus 5 $0.00758 $0.00758
Sonnet 5 $0.00303 $0.00303
Haiku 4.5 $0.00152 $0.00152

Security

Grade A, and why

skills CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

CLAUDE.md

This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.

What this repo is

A collection of Claude Code skills (branded ANK Skills). Plugin name: ank.

Most of them form one pipeline — /third-degree (interview) → /spec (SPEC.md) → /tasks (TASKS.md + GitHub issues) → /visualise-plan (pre-code HTML plan) → /review-board (post-feature HTML walkthrough) — with /handoff for dumping context when a window fills up. /review-board is the reference implementation and the most opinionated about output.

/no-yap sits outside that pipeline. It's a response-style skill: it makes Claude answer in ASD-STE100 Simplified Technical English (numbered clauses, one idea per sentence) instead of prose. It produces no file and is not tied to a codebase — it's for any expert domain, not just software.

There was an original build_plan.md that scaffolded the repo; it has been removed. This file is now the source of truth for layout, constraints, and decisions.

Install paths (both supported)

  1. Claude Code plugin.claude-plugin/marketplace.json is the catalog (marketplace name: ank-skills); .claude-plugin/plugin.json describes the plugin itself (plugin name: ank) and explicitly lists each skill's path. Install: /plugin marketplace add ananthanandanan/skills then /plugin install ank@ank-skills. Skills end up namespaced as /ank:<skill>.
  2. Vercel Labs installernpx skills@latest add ananthanandanan/skills reads the skills/<category>/<name>/SKILL.md layout directly and ignores both JSON files.

When adding a new skill, update .claude-plugin/plugin.json's skills array so the plugin install path picks it up. Skills must be listed explicitly because they're nested under skills/<category>/<name>/ rather than directly under skills/<name>/, and Claude Code's auto-discovery only walks one level.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
