Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.06418 | $0.06418 |
| Opus 5 | $0.03209 | $0.03209 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.01284 | $0.01284 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00642 | $0.00642 |
Grade A, and why
vulnicheck CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 519 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Project Overview
VulniCheck is a Python-based MCP (Model Context Protocol) HTTP server that provides real-time security vulnerability checking for Python packages. It runs as an HTTP-only service with support for both local file access and client-delegated file operations via the FileProvider architecture. The server queries multiple authoritative vulnerability databases including OSV.dev, NVD (National Vulnerability Database), and GitHub Advisory Database.
Key Commands
Development Setup
# Install development dependencies with uv
uv pip install -e ".[dev]"
# Or traditional pip
pip install -e ".[dev]"
Testing
# Run all tests
make test
# Run unit tests only
make test-unit
# Run integration tests only (requires API credentials)
make test-integration
# Run tests with coverage
make test-coverage
# Run specific test categories
make test-mcp # MCP-related tests
make test-security # Security-related tests
make test-clients # Client tests
# Run a single test file
pytest tests/test_scanner.py -v
Note: Integration tests for GitHub API require GITHUB_TOKEN environment variable to avoid rate limiting. Tests will be skipped if credentials are not available.
Code Quality
# Run all linting and type checking
make lint
# Auto-fix linting issues
make lint-fix
# Format code with ruff
make format
# Type checking only
make type-check
Pre-commit Hooks
The project uses pre-commit hooks to ensure code quality before commits:
# Install pre-commit hooks (one-time setup)
uv run pre-commit install
# Run pre-commit hooks manually on all files
uv run pre-commit run --all-files
# Skip pre-commit hooks temporarily (not recommended)
git commit --no-verify
Pre-commit checks include:
- Standard checks (trailing whitespace, file endings, yaml/json/toml validation)
make lint- Runs ruff and mypy checksmake test-unit- Runs unit tests- Detects private keys and merge conflicts
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

vulnicheck CLAUDE.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository andrasfe/vulnicheck (11 stars, last pushed 6mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 6,418 tokens to every session, about $0.0321 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
