Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01494 $0.01494
Opus 5 $0.00747 $0.00747
Sonnet 5 $0.00299 $0.00299
Haiku 4.5 $0.00149 $0.00149

Security

Grade A, and why

zoho-projects-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Project Overview

This is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Zoho Projects API integration. It enables AI assistants to interact with Zoho Projects for managing portals, projects, tasks, issues, milestones, and users.

Development Commands

Build & Run

  • npm run build - Compile TypeScript to JavaScript (output to dist/)
  • npm run dev - Watch mode compilation
  • npm start - Run the compiled stdio server (for local MCP clients)
  • npm run start:http - Run the HTTP/SSE server (for remote access)
  • npm run dev:http - Development mode for HTTP server with watch
  • npm test - Run connection test using test-connection.js
  • npm run setup - Run setup.sh script

Environment Setup

Required Variables (for both transports)
  • ZOHO_ACCESS_TOKEN - OAuth access token (expires after 1 hour)
  • ZOHO_PORTAL_ID - Portal ID for API requests
  • ZOHO_API_DOMAIN - API domain (defaults to https://projectsapi.zoho.com)
HTTP Server Variables (optional, for remote access)
  • HTTP_PORT - Port for HTTP server (defaults to 3001)
  • ALLOWED_ORIGINS - Comma-separated list of allowed CORS origins (defaults to http://localhost:3000)
  • ALLOWED_HOSTS - Comma-separated list of allowed hosts for DNS rebinding protection (defaults to 127.0.0.1,localhost)

API domains by region:

Architecture

Core Structure

  • Dual transport support:
    • src/index.ts - stdio transport for local MCP clients (Claude Desktop, etc.)
    • src/http-server.ts - HTTP/SSE transport for remote access
  • Class-based design: ZohoProjectsServer class encapsulates all functionality
  • Transport options:
    • stdio: Standard I/O transport for local/same-machine MCP clients
    • HTTP with SSE: StreamableHTTPServerTransport for remote access with session management
  • HTTP client: Native fetch API for Zoho API calls

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
