AGENTS.md — omp-flow Engineering Guide
omp-flow is a project-local workflow methodology with portable task knowledge and a small deterministic runtime kernel.
Project positioning
- omp-flow is an agent harness in the same family as superpowers.
omp-flow initinstalls Skills, agent definitions, Hooks, the runtime kernel, and the Workflow Library into any project; that project's own.omp-flow/then holds its own Tasks and Wiki. - Its purpose is to spend as little human attention on decisions as possible. Its content is methodology plus the maintenance and handoff of context through Tasks and the Wiki. Dispatch and orchestration belong to the Harness, which may dispatch Workflows dynamically. Keep every rule general across Harnesses and projects, and cut any rule, field, check, or question that adds friction without changing a real behavior.
- The product is what init and update ship:
templates/,src/,bin/, and the npm package. Change product behavior there. The deployed copies in this repository (.agents/,.claude/,.omp/,.codex/) are synchronized fromtemplates/withnode bin/omp-flow.js update, never edited by hand. - This repository does not track its own

- Python owns validated WorkScope selection from an explicit Task/workspace pair, or a valid local marker only where a command permits omitted Task input; it also owns path confinement, actor/process correlation, locks, atomic side effects, opaque operation receipts, and requested create/archive moves.
- Harnesses own models, native agent spawn, concurrency, progress, cancellation, native identity, and UI.
- Platform adapters stay thin and must not reconstruct task knowledge.
