Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01008 $0.01008
Opus 5 $0.00504 $0.00504
Sonnet 5 $0.00202 $0.00202
Haiku 4.5 $0.00101 $0.00101

Security

Grade A, and why

laravel-agent-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Stack

anilcancakir/laravel-agent-mcp is a Laravel PACKAGE (not an application): a secure, read-only MCP server that exposes 25 read-only tools to LLM agents. PHP ^8.3 (CI runs 8.3, 8.4, 8.5), Laravel 11/12/13 via illuminate/contracts, built on laravel/mcp >=0.6 <0.8. Other runtime deps: phpmyadmin/sql-parser, spatie/laravel-package-tools. Tests run on Orchestra Testbench against in-memory SQLite; there is no app bootstrap or .env to run.

Commands

  • composer test runs the Pest suite; composer test-coverage enforces the 80% coverage gate.
  • composer analyse runs PHPStan/Larastan at level 6 over src and tests.
  • vendor/bin/pint fixes code style (Laravel preset); vendor/bin/pint --test checks without writing.

Layout (non-obvious)

  • src/Tools/ is the 25 MCP tools. Each extends AbstractAgentTool and its handle() runs the same pipeline in order: authorize() (the per-tool config gate) first, then audit() (records the argument shape, never values), then the read-only work, then redactor() on the output. A new tool follows this exact order and is gated by config('agent-mcp.tools.<name>').
  • src/Server/AgentMcpServer.php holds the $tools registry array and the server #[Instructions].
  • src/Support/ is final static helpers (InstallMode, AgentTarget, GuidelineInjector, SkillInstaller, OutputRedactor).
  • src/Database/ and src/Sql/ hold the read-only connection resolver and the SELECT-only statement validator.
  • config/agent-mcp.php is the consumer-facing config: every tool enable flag, the auth keys, and the query limits.
  • resources/boost/ ships the laravel-boost skills and guideline; the resources/boost/** rule covers editing them.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
