Agena: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

Agena CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from aozyildirim/Agena. It costs 4,057 tokens per session, scanned C, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for Agena, a project split into several installable backend packages and one JavaScript package. A monorepo is one repository that contains multiple related packages.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when changing Agena code and you need to know where backend services, database models, API routes, workers, or the JavaScript SDK belong.
Why use it?
It gives the coding agent the project’s package layout, import conventions, development setup, and command-line startup rules.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.04057 $0.04057
Opus 5 $0.02028 $0.02028
Sonnet 5 $0.00811 $0.00811
Haiku 4.5 $0.00406 $0.00406

Measured 8d ago against content hash 8b4f7e17b5c2, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade C, and why

Agena CLAUDE.md scanned grade C with 2 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Recursive force deletehighDestructive command

rm -rf with a variable or a broad path is one typo away from removing the wrong tree.

If stale webpack errors occur: `docker exec ai_agent_frontend_blue rm -rf /app/.next` then restart.

Makes network callslowCapability

Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.

Monorepo Package Structure

Backend is split into 6 pip-installable packages + 1 npm package under packages/:

packages/
core/ → agena-core (settings, database, auth, rbac, security)
  models/ → agena-models (27 SQLAlchemy ORM models + 9 Pydantic schemas)
  services/ → agena-services (31 business logic services + integrations)
  agents/ → agena-agents (CrewAI/LangGraph pipeline + vector memory)
  api/ → agena-api (FastAPI routes, middleware, dependencies)
  worker/ → agena-worker (Redis background task consumer)
sdk/ → @agena/sdk (TypeScript API client for npm)

Import paths use package prefixes:

  • from agena_core.settings import get_settings
  • from agena_core.database import get_db_session
  • from agena_core.security.jwt import create_token
  • from agena_models.models.task_record import TaskRecord
  • from agena_models.schemas.agent import AgentRunRequest
  • from agena_services.services.orchestration_service import OrchestrationService
  • from agena_services.integrations.azure_client import AzureClient
  • from agena_agents.agents.crewai_agents import CrewAIAgentRunner
  • from agena_agents.memory.qdrant import QdrantMemoryStore
  • from agena_api.api.dependencies import get_current_tenant
  • from agena_worker.workers.redis_worker import process_queue

NEVER use old flat imports like from core.settings or from models.user.

Development Environment

Use start.sh to launch the full stack. It starts Docker services and the CLI bridge on the host:

./start.sh # Start everything (Docker + host bridge)
./stop.sh # Stop everything
docker-compose restart <service> # Restart after code changes
docker-compose up -d --build <service> # Rebuild a specific service

Services: backend (FastAPI, :8010), worker (Redis consumer), frontend_blue (:3011), frontend_green (:3012), mysql (:3307), redis (:6380), qdrant (:6333)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
