GEMINI.md

QQMusic-ID-Injector GEMINI.md is an instructions file for Gemini CLI from apoint123/QQMusic-ID-Injector. It costs 767 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Gemini CLI instructions describing a Windows Rust project that reads a song ID from the QQ Music client and exposes it through Windows media metadata.

In plain words
What is it for?
They guide development of the payload and related components in a 32-bit Rust Cargo workspace using Windows APIs.
Why use it?
They provide the coding assistant with the project's purpose, platform constraints, components, and technical structure.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00767 $0.00767
Opus 5 $0.00383 $0.00383
Sonnet 5 $0.00153 $0.00153
Haiku 4.5 $0.00077 $0.00077

Security

Grade A, and why

QQMusic-ID-Injector GEMINI.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

GEMINI.md - AI Context File

This document provides an overview of the QQMusic-ID-Injector project, its architecture, and development conventions. It is intended to be used as a contextual reference for AI-powered development assistance.

1. Project Overview

Goal: To precisely identify the song currently playing in the Tencent QQ Music Windows client (32-bit). Mechanism: The project reads the internal Song ID from QQ Music's memory and injects this ID into the Windows SMTC (System Media Transport Controls) metadata, specifically into the Genres field. This allows third-party software to read the exact ID via standard Windows APIs without needing to hack the music client themselves.

2. Technical Stack

  • Language: Rust
  • Target Architecture: i686-pc-windows-msvc (32-bit, mandatory to match QQ Music).
  • Key Crates:
    • windows: For Win32, COM, and WinRT interactions.
    • minhook: For hooking the VTable of SMTC COM objects.
    • winreg: For finding the QQ Music installation path.

3. Architecture & Components

The project consists of a Cargo Workspace with two members:

A. Payload (payload.dll -> Renamed to msimg32.dll)

This is a DLL Proxy (Hijack) module that runs inside the QQMusic.exe process.

  • DLL Proxying:
    • Impersonates the system library msimg32.dll.
    • Forwards these calls to the original system DLL.
  • Memory Logic:
    • Pattern Scanning: Searches QQMusic.dll memory for a specific byte signature (A2 ?? ?? ?? ?? A3 ...) to find the CurrentSongInfo structure.
    • Lazy Scanning: Scanning only occurs once, the first time the SMTC Update method is called.
    • Data Access: Reads the Song ID from offset 0x60 of the structure found.
  • Hooking Logic:
    • Target: ISystemMediaTransportControlsDisplayUpdater::Update (VTable Index 17).
    • Implementation:
      1. Intercepts the Update call.
      2. Reads the current Song ID from memory.
      3. Manually invokes MusicProperties (VTable Index 12) via raw pointer arithmetic.
      4. Clears the Genres list and appends the Song ID as a string.
      5. Calls the original Update function to broadcast changes to Windows.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
