Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5 | $0.01318 | $0.01318 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00659 | $0.00659 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00264 | $0.00264 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00132 | $0.00132 |
Grade A, and why
dashbrr-mcp AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 61 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
AGENTS.md — dashbrr-mcp
MCP server exposing Dashbrr's REST API as
tools so an LLM can read and manage a dashbrr instance: configured services,
per-service health, and summary panels for autobrr, Plex, Jellyfin, Sonarr,
Radarr, Lidarr, Readarr, Prowlarr, Overseerr, Traefik, Bazarr, SABnzbd, NZBGet,
Uptime Kuma, Maintainerr, and Tailscale. Uses FastMCP, uv for deps.
Exposed as 5 resource-scoped portmanteau tools, not one tool per endpoint — see "Portmanteau registration" below. A prior version registered all 34 endpoints individually; that blew the MCP context budget (~34 tools × ~250 tokens ≈ 9k tokens just for this one server) and has been retired.
Testing
- Offline suite:
make test(oruv run pytest) - Live integration (needs
DASHBRR_URL/DASHBRR_API_KEY):make test-integration
Release workflow
Always use the make bump-* targets to bump the version (uv version --bump patch|minor|major), which updates pyproject.toml and uv.lock together. Do NOT edit the version by hand.
- Bump:
make bump-patch(orbump-minor/bump-major) - Commit message is just the version, e.g.
0.1.2— nothing else. - Tag it
v<version>(e.g.v0.1.2). - Push main and the tag:
git push origin main git push origin v<version> - Then sync the project copy:
cd /home/savagecore/Documents/christopfarr/mcp/dashbrr-mcp git fetch origin && git reset --hard origin/main - Deploy to the Proxmox host (root SSH key): pull the repo then reinstall the uv tool:
The host runs it viassh [email protected] -- 'cd /root/dashbrr-mcp && git fetch origin && git reset --hard origin/main' ssh [email protected] -- 'cd /root/dashbrr-mcp && uv tool install --force .'uv tool install→/root/.local/bin/dashbrr-mcp(not from the repo).
Auth
Dashbrr uses session auth, not an API key. The instance must run with
DASHBRR_AUTH_BYPASS=true, or DASHBRR_API_KEY must hold a session token
(dashbrr_user_session cookie value). It is sent as Authorization: Bearer <token>; if unset, no auth header is sent and the server relies on auth bypass.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
