ticksy-mcp: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

ticksy-mcp CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from artkrsk/ticksy-mcp. It costs 484 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of Claude Code instructions for a local MCP server that connects an AI assistant to Ticksy, a support-ticket service. It documents the project’s commands, design, and tools for reading and changing tickets.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when developing the server, checking its TypeScript code, or working with Ticksy ticket actions such as listing, replying to, closing, reopening, and creating customer records.
Why use it?
It gives the coding agent the project-specific information needed to build, check, and run this server consistently.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00484 $0.00484
Opus 5 $0.00242 $0.00242
Sonnet 5 $0.00097 $0.00097
Haiku 4.5 $0.00048 $0.00048

Security

Grade A, and why

ticksy-mcp CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

CLAUDE.md

This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.

What This Is

An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that wraps the Ticksy support ticket API. It exposes read and write tools over stdio transport for AI agents to manage support tickets. Uses @modelcontextprotocol/sdk with Zod for tool parameter validation.

Commands

pnpm build # compile TypeScript to dist/
pnpm dev # watch mode (tsc --watch)
pnpm start # run compiled server (node dist/index.js)
pnpm exec tsc --noEmit # type-check without emitting

No test framework is configured.

Architecture

Source files, all in src/:

  • index.ts — MCP server setup. Validates env vars, registers read tools (list/get tickets, comments, counts) and write tools (reply, note, close, reopen, star, read status, create customer), connects via StdioServerTransport. Uses a run() helper for uniform result/error formatting. Simple single-ID write tools are registered via a SIMPLE_WRITE_TOOLS loop.
  • ticksy.ts — Ticksy REST API client. Builds base URL from TICKSY_DOMAIN and TICKSY_API_KEY env vars. Exports one async function per Ticksy operation — get() helper for reads, post() helper for writes. Defines Ticket and TicketComment interfaces. Decodes HTML-encoded comment bodies into plain text via utils.html().
  • utils.ts — Single html() function that decodes HTML entities and strips tags from Ticksy's HTML-encoded comment strings.

Key Details

  • ESM project ("type": "module") — all local imports use .js extensions.
  • Ticksy API base: https://api.ticksy.com/v1/{domain}/{key}/{endpoint}.
  • API responses use hyphenated keys (open-tickets, ticket-data, ticket-comments).
  • Boolean-like fields from Ticksy come as '0' / '1' strings, not actual booleans.
  • Requires TICKSY_DOMAIN and TICKSY_API_KEY environment variables (see .env.example).
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
