Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.01460 | $0.01460 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00730 | $0.00730 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00292 | $0.00292 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00146 | $0.00146 |
Grade A, and why
minipainter AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 112 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
AGENTS.md — minipainter project guide for coding agents
A CLI + TUI + MCP servers (Claude and ChatGPT) for managing a miniature-paint inventory and
doing owned-first cross-brand paint matching over a catalog of 1,607 paints. Node.js, ESM,
tested with the built-in runner (npm test → node --test).
Humans: see README.md. CLAUDE.md carries the same paint-catalog rules and takes precedence.
Setup
npm install # Node.js 20+ (the Docker image uses node:22-alpine)
No build step — everything runs straight from src/ (.mjs, native ESM).
Commands
npm test # whole suite: node --test over tests/*.test.mjs
node src/cli.mjs --help # CLI entry point
node src/cli.mjs paint search bone
node src/cli.mjs inventory own "Abaddon Black"
node src/cli.mjs match color "#d2c29b"
node src/cli.mjs tui # colored terminal UI (honors NO_COLOR)
node src/cli.mjs catalog lint # fails if any paint has a null product_format
npm run generate:demo # regenerate docs/assets/*.svg TUI captures
node src/mcp-server.mjs— MCP over stdio (Claude Desktop).node src/mcp-http-server.mjs— HTTP server onPORT(default 3000):/mcp,/mcp/v3(ChatGPTsearch/fetch/match_color),/health,/api/*.
Always run npm test before finishing; keep it green. Tests use import test from 'node:test'
node:assert/strict. External services in tests use in-memory fakes (pg-memfor Postgres) —npm testmust never need a real database or network.
Storage (inventory)
Chosen at runtime in src/registry-store.mjs:
DATABASE_URLset → Postgres (owned_paintstable). Used by Docker / Render / Fly.- unset → JSON file (
~/.minipainting/inventory.jsonlocally,/data/inventory.jsonin Docker).
Only the inventory (owned paint ids) is in the database; the catalog is always in-image files.
Run the full stack (Docker + Postgres)
docker compose up --build # app + postgres:16; inventory persists in the pgdata volume
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

minipainter AGENTS.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository ArturSkowronski/minipainter (0 stars, last pushed 18d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 1,460 tokens to every session, about $0.0073 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
