AGENTS.md

seo-geo-optimizer AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from Aryanpanwar10005/seo-geo-optimizer. It costs 243 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for maintaining the SEO and GEO optimizer project. They specify which source file to edit, how to regenerate its installed versions, and which checks and sources to use before a pull request.

In plain words
What is it for?
Maintain the skill source, regenerate its distributed files, run validation and tests, and check SEO claims against approved official documentation.
Why use it?
They prevent edits to generated files and shared instruction files, and require evidence for search-related claims. This reduces inconsistent releases and unsupported guidance.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00243 $0.00243
Opus 5.5 $0.00097 $0.00097
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00049 $0.00049
Haiku 4.5 $0.00024 $0.00024

Security

Grade A, and why

seo-geo-optimizer AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 20d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Working on this repository

This repo holds the seo-geo-optimizer skill and its installer.

  • Edit the skill only in skill/SEO_GEO_SKILL.md. Then run npm run sync:skill, which regenerates the Agent Skills edition in skills/seo-geo-optimizer/ (SKILL.md plus one reference file per part). Never edit the generated files.
  • skill/SEO_GEO_SKILL.md must stay at that path and must not start with frontmatter: older installers download it from GitHub, and people paste it whole into tools without skills support.
  • The installer (bin/install.js) copies skills/seo-geo-optimizer/ into skills folders only. It must never write to shared instruction files (CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, .github/copilot-instructions.md, GEMINI.md, .cursorrules and similar).
  • Before opening a pull request, run npm run validate and npm test.
  • Every SEO or GEO claim in the skill needs an official source (Google Search Central, Bing Webmaster, web.dev, or the AI crawler operator's own docs). No myths, no invented statistics.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
