dario CLAUDE.md

dario CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for coding agents from askalf/dario. It costs 407 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for Dario, covering how coding agents should write code, commits, pull requests, and documentation.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when editing the repository, preparing commits or pull requests, and deciding how to handle uncertain changes.
Why use it?
They prevent unwanted attribution, temporary links, style mismatches, and changes outside the requested scope.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00407 $0.00407
Opus 5 $0.00204 $0.00204
Sonnet 5 $0.00081 $0.00081
Haiku 4.5 $0.00041 $0.00041

Measured 4d ago against content hash 125b6ef96a14, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

dario CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

dario — notes for Claude Code (and other LLM coding agents)

Commits and PRs

  • Do not append https://claude.ai/code/session_* URLs to commit messages or PR descriptions. They rot fast (the session expires), they leak the source of the contribution into git history forever, and they're not what readers want when they git blame a line three years from now.
  • Do not append Co-authored-by: Claude or Generated with Claude Code trailers unless explicitly requested. Same reasons.
  • The Co-authored-by: line GitHub auto-adds for human PR authors during a squash-merge is fine — that one is generated by GitHub, not by Claude Code.

Style

  • No Generated by Claude / Drafted by AI markers in source files, docs, or PR bodies. The maintainer treats those as noise that has to be cleaned up before review.
  • Match the existing prose voice in docs (terse, active, scar-tissue references to issue numbers when relevant). Don't introduce bullet-arrow patterns (**Foo** →), parenthetical inventories, or "Two checks worth running on the way to" framing.

Scope

  • The repo's CI enforces SHA-pinned GitHub Actions (.github/workflows/actionlint.yml + org policy reinforced in #209). Add new actions in tag form on first commit only — Dependabot's github-actions ecosystem entry pins the SHA on the next Monday run.
  • The cc-drift bot (cc-drift-watch.yml + cc-drift-auto-release.yml) auto-drafts version bumps for SUPPORTED_CC_RANGE.maxTested. Don't compete with it: bumping maxTested in a manual PR will collide with the bot's next run.

When in doubt, ask

The maintainer reads PR bodies. Surface trade-offs and unknowns explicitly rather than picking a default and shipping.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
