AGENTS.md

kamehadb AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from asta-nguyen/kamehadb. It costs 6,445 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

Repository instructions for KamehaDB, a local-first desktop application for browsing databases, writing queries, viewing schemas, and using database tools.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when modifying the Tauri desktop app, its Node sidecar, database adapters, shared packages, user interface, or landing site.
Why use it?
They explain the app’s structure and boundaries so changes land in the correct desktop, sidecar, shared-package, or separate marketing-site area.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.06445 $0.06445
Opus 5 $0.03223 $0.03223
Sonnet 5 $0.01289 $0.01289
Haiku 4.5 $0.00645 $0.00645

Security

Grade A, and why

kamehadb AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Project Overview

KamehaDB is a local-first database GUI centered on a Tauri desktop app plus a local Node sidecar. The current app supports PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, MongoDB, Redis, Qdrant, SQL Server, Oracle, ClickHouse, DuckDB, MariaDB, and TigerBeetle. It includes schema browsing, a Monaco SQL editor, query history, PostgreSQL stats views, schema timeline/diff workflows, Redis/Mongo/Qdrant/TigerBeetle explorers, embedded PostgreSQL and Mongo shells, PostgreSQL backup/restore flows, pgvector exploration tools, an in-app logs viewer, and an AI chat panel with schema-aware context.

There is also a separate marketing/docs site in landing/, but it is not part of the pnpm workspace used by the desktop app and sidecar.

Workspace And Package Boundaries

  • The pnpm workspace includes only apps/* and packages/*.
  • landing/ has its own package-lock.json and is managed separately with npm.
  • Most root scripts target the pnpm workspace only. Do not assume they affect landing/ unless they explicitly use npm --prefix landing.
  • Landing site image generation: use node scripts/capture-images.mjs to update the AI Compare panel screenshots in public/images/.
  • Landing animated OG image: use npm --prefix landing run render:og to regenerate public/og-animated.gif (requires ffmpeg-static, runs locally — not a Vercel runtime route).

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
