awaithumans-human-in-the-loop-ai-agents: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

awaithumans-human-in-the-loop-ai-agents CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from awaithumans/awaithumans-human-in-the-loop-ai-agents. It costs 4,501 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

Repository rules for Awaithubmans, an open-source system that lets AI agents hand tasks to people for review or completion. The project is organized as a monorepo, meaning several related packages live in one repository, including Python, dashboard, and TypeScript components.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when changing the Python package, web dashboard, TypeScript SDK, or their shared monorepo structure.
Why use it?
They give developers and coding agents a shared source of truth for the project’s architecture, package boundaries, and coding decisions.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.04501 $0.04501
Opus 5 $0.02250 $0.02250
Sonnet 5 $0.00900 $0.00900
Haiku 4.5 $0.00450 $0.00450

Security

Grade A, and why

awaithumans-human-in-the-loop-ai-agents CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What This Project Is

An open source infrastructure package that lets AI agent workflows delegate tasks to human beings — with task routing, notifications (Slack, email), a review dashboard, AI verification of completed work, and a callback system to resume the agent when the human is done.

One primitive: await_human() / awaitHuman() — the agent awaits a human like it awaits a promise.

Architecture Overview

The project has three packages:

  1. Python package (packages/python/) — the API server, CLI, channels, verification, AND the Python SDK. Published as awaithumans on PyPI. This is the brain of the system.

  2. Dashboard (packages/dashboard/) — Next.js 16 web UI. Pre-built to static files and bundled into the Python package for production. Separate dev server for development.

  3. TypeScript SDK (packages/typescript-sdk/) — the npm awaithumans package. A thin HTTP client to the Python API server. Includes adapter subpath exports for Temporal and LangGraph.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
