About the project

claude-reflect is a self-learning system for Claude Code that records corrections, positive feedback, preferences, and recurring workflows as persistent instructions or reusable skills. It helps Claude Code users retain lessons across sessions and improve repeated tasks, with catalogue add-ons providing its hooks, commands, instructions, plugin, and skill.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01872 $0.01872
Opus 5 $0.00936 $0.00936
Sonnet 5 $0.00374 $0.00374
Haiku 4.5 $0.00187 $0.00187

Security

Grade B, and why

claude-reflect CLAUDE.md scanned grade B with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

.claude/, .codex/, .gemini/ hold keys, settings and other credentials a mod has no legitimate need for.

CLAUDE.md

This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.

Project Overview

claude-reflect is a Claude Code plugin that implements a two-stage self-learning system:

  1. Capture Stage (automatic): Hooks detect correction patterns in user prompts and queue them
  2. Process Stage (manual): /reflect command processes queued learnings with human review and writes to CLAUDE.md files

Architecture

.claude-plugin/plugin.json → Plugin manifest, points to hooks
hooks/hooks.json → Hook definitions (PreCompact, PostToolUse)
scripts/ → Python scripts for hooks and extraction
scripts/lib/ → Shared utilities (reflect_utils.py)
scripts/legacy/ → Deprecated bash scripts (for reference)
commands/*.md → Skill definitions for /reflect, /reflect-skills, /skip-reflect, /view-queue
SKILL.md → Context provided when plugin is invoked
tests/ → Test suite (pytest)

Data Flow

  1. User prompt → capture_learning.py (UserPromptSubmit hook) → ~/.claude/learnings-queue.json
  2. /reflect command → reads queue + scans sessions → filters/dedupes → routes to memory targets
  3. Session files live at ~/.claude/projects/[PROJECT_FOLDER]/*.jsonl

Project Rules ./.claude/rules/*.md rule Modular, path-scoped

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
