Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00738 $0.00738
Opus 5 $0.00369 $0.00369
Sonnet 5 $0.00148 $0.00148
Haiku 4.5 $0.00074 $0.00074

Measured 3d ago against content hash 8ab2e4b1f992, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

AiOverviewControl AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Project

Quickshell/DankMaterialShell plugin (aiOverviewControl) that surfaces AI provider quota, billing, authentication, and local usage telemetry. Runtime is QML (4 files at the repo root) plus bash adapters in providers/. Version lives only in plugin.json.

Layout

AiOverviewControlWidget.qml Runtime orchestration and dashboard
AiOverviewControlSettings.qml Settings UI
AiOverviewControlI18n.qml Locale loading singleton (registered in qmldir)
ProviderLogo.qml Logo resolution/fallback
providers/ bash entrypoints + get-provider-usage dispatcher
tests/*.sh Fixture-backed integration suites (run all before pushing)
i18n/*.json en + pt_BR, zh_CN, es_ES, de_DE (exact key parity enforced)
docs/ User/operator documentation

Conventions

  • Commits follow Conventional Commits (feat, fix, chore, docs, ci, with scopes — see git log). Never add AI co-author trailers (Co-Authored-By: ... or similar).
  • New providers: add a thin providers/get-<id>-usage stub delegating to get-provider-wrapper (native logic goes into get-provider-usage), register dispatch + health cases and aliases, add a logo under assets/provider-logos/ with a SOURCES.md entry, extend i18n/en.json first, then mirror every locale.
  • Docs live in docs/; update them in the same change when behavior changes. docs/release-checklist.md is the release runbook.

Local gates (CI enforces all of these)

find providers -maxdepth 1 -type f -print0 | xargs -0 bash -n
for test in tests/*.sh; do bash "$test"; done
bash -n scripts/package-release
shellcheck -S warning providers/* tests/*.sh scripts/package-release
qmllint AiOverviewControlWidget.qml AiOverviewControlSettings.qml AiOverviewControlI18n.qml ProviderLogo.qml
for f in i18n/*.json; do jq -e . "$f" >/dev/null; done # plus exact key parity vs i18n/en.json

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
