Bamboo-agent AGENTS.md

Bamboo-agent AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from bigduu/Bamboo-agent. It costs 212 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of agent instructions for Bamboo-agent that explains its project boundary and its use of Jiandu, the canonical system for project and user memory.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when modifying Bamboo-agent to follow its memory contract, distinguish durable facts from temporary session context, and verify the repository before acting.
Why use it?
It helps agents recall relevant facts, store confirmed information in the right place, and avoid duplicating Bamboo's memory storage or indexes.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00212 $0.00212
Opus 5 $0.00106 $0.00106
Sonnet 5 $0.00042 $0.00042
Haiku 4.5 $0.00021 $0.00021

Measured today against content hash 5f9ad36f695f, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

Bamboo-agent AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Bamboo Agent Guidance

Read README.md for the product boundary. Use this canonical Jiandu memory contract:

  • Session memory is continuity for the current session. Project memory holds durable project facts and decisions; Global memory holds cross-project user context.
  • Recall with a short lexical query. Use Jiandu's compact default top three id/summary results, then get only the selected item that needs full context.
  • Query before writing. Store one confirmed atomic fact with a specific title and a few useful keywords, entities, and tags.
  • Treat canonical Project memory as trusted durable project authority, but verify live repository or runtime state before acting. Treat Dream as a low-trust derived orientation snapshot, never as canonical evidence.
  • Never store secrets or tokens. Do not add embeddings, vectors, or a duplicate Bamboo persistence/index layer.

Jiandu owns canonical persistence, derived indexes, lexical recall, and Dream snapshot bytes. Bamboo owns prompt selection and budget, optional reranking, and the model and cadence used to refresh Dream.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

Bamboo-agent AGENTS.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository bigduu/Bamboo-agent (16 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 212 tokens to every session, about $0.0011 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-04.
