skills CLAUDE.md

skills CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for coding agents from Bilican/skills. It costs 246 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

Repository instructions for organizing Bilican/skills, a collection of coding-agent skills. They explain folder grouping, plugin registration, documentation requirements, and when a skill can be invoked by the agent or only by the user.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them when adding or maintaining skills, updating plugin and README entries, choosing invocation settings, or moving occasional reference material into separate files.
Why use it?
They provide shared rules for keeping skills discoverable, documented, and economical in the agent's context.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00246 $0.00246
Opus 5 $0.00123 $0.00123
Sonnet 5 $0.00049 $0.00049
Haiku 4.5 $0.00025 $0.00025

Measured 4d ago against content hash 96722aef8b7a, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

skills CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Skills live under skills/, grouped into bucket folders:

  • engineering/ — code work
  • productivity/ — general, non-code-specific tools

Every shippable skill has an entry in .claude-plugin/plugin.json and a row in both this repo's README.md and its bucket README.md, with the skill name linked to its SKILL.md.

Each SKILL.md is either model-invoked or user-invoked:

  • Model-invoked (default) — keeps a trigger-rich description so the agent can fire it on its own, and you can type it too. The description costs context every turn, so prune it to triggers.
  • User-invoked — set disable-model-invocation: true. Reachable only when you type its name; the description becomes a human-facing one-liner with trigger lists stripped.

Reference material a skill needs only occasionally lives in a sibling file in the skill's own folder (e.g. FAILURE-CLASSES.md), reached by a link from SKILL.md and loaded only when that pointer fires.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
